Have you any dreams you'd like to sell...
I am on Dreamwidth! The fabulous miella was kind enough to give me an invite and I have been setting up shop over the weekend. I am still Ren and am at http://rensreality101.dreamwidth.org/.
I kind of like it there. Of course, the bulk of the neat stuff I will never see because I am less than...er, code savvy. But I am trying the things I can reach and having a lot of fun.
Thoughts so far...
No one will ever give me enough icons. No one will ever let me buy enough icons. Accepting this is hard for me. ;)
I like the subscribe feature for communities I mainly read or read/comment. It is not as useful for me as others since I never f-lock but still a nice feature.
The import entries is nice. (er, I deleted mine afterward, long story) When I moved my Wordpress blog it was a big deal, with the making of files and the hoping comments would not be lost. (luckily only one) Importing to dreamwidth is just button clicking. Even userpics.
It seemed kind of quiet, then I realized I needed to get off the porch and go visit other people. I know it will stay small during closed beta but there are a lot of people and communities already set up.
(the porch was metaphorical - since the laptop died I am stuck at the kitchen computer)
I would love to just move and be all there but I there are people I don't want to lose so I will be keeping a journal here, at least for a while, so I can read and comment. I'll do some crossposting (a feature I still need to try out) and we will see how it goes.
Okay, I don't have any invite codes - yet - when I do if anyone wants one just let me know.
