"these are a few of my favorite things..."
So here is my take on the traditional 'favorite stuff of 2007" lists.
Favorite food - steak, mortgage lifter tomatoes out of the garden and pecan pie...not necessarily together and mainly because with the pregnancy the list of what I could eat was sometimes no longer than 4 or 5 items. Oh, and my mom makes killer pecan pie.
Favorite new show of 2007 - Burn Notice - seriously, I love this show. Spies, girlfriends of spies that are spies themselves, moms of spies and Bruce Campbell. It is like they made this show just for me. Torchwood (although full of problems) runs a close second pretty much on the merits of Jack and his suspenders.
Favorite icon of 2007 - This was hard since I am not always sure when I pick an icon up or when it was made but it would have to be -Mckay on his couch, in his boxers, with the caption 'screw work'- by pax89. (I used that one a lot. Gleefully used it a lot. And used it again in this post.)
Favorite fan fic of 2007 - I almost didn't even try to do this one because I wasn't sure I could pick just one. (Truthfully there are twenty-five or thirty that qualify) I ended up choosing Sky Full Of by
rageprufrock because there is no part of this story I am not completely in love with from the characters all the way down to the sand and wind. Some of the scenes are so vivid you can get lost in them. I can almost smell and taste the food...Oh, and camels. I love the camels.
Favorite blog of 2007 - Between morning sickness and then the bedrest from hell I didn't get a lot of time on the computer in 2007. I did enjoy Joe Mallozi's blog until the food pictures overwhelmed me and I lived for any new postings to Paul Malmont's blog. But my favorite for 2007 was WWdN:In Exile. I am not even a Wil Wheaten fan but I so love his blog.
