Loooooooooooooooooooooooooong day. ::collapses::
So, yeah, Wednesdays are going to be a bitch. First class starts at 8 am Wednesday mornings - Remote Sensing lab - and then I have class aaaaalllll the way up until 2 in the afternoon. Then I get an hour break before I have *another* two-to-three hours of class (Geomorphology lecture and lab) and then, at last, I am free! To collapse in a useless heap in front of the TV (NEW GHOST HUNTERS AND BONES TONIGHT, YAY!) and/or computer for what little remains of the day 'cause that is about all I'll be good for.
Anyway, Fall 2008 Semester Day 2
8:00 - 9:50 am - Remote Sensing Lab
No lab today cause it's the first week of school, so yay two less hours than I would have otherwise. I am so totally not looking forward to next week, though.
10:00-10:50 am - Introduction to Soil and Water Resources
Sounds like it will be an interesting class. I only hope I'll be able to survive the weekly field trips that will be required for lab.
11:00 - 11:50 am - Hydrogeology
First day of class and I'm already confused. This does not bode well for the rest of semester.
12:00 - 1:50 pm - Intro to Soil and Water Lab
Again, this will require weekly field trips which should be fun provided I don't kill over from exhaustion and ZOMIGOD, NOT ENOUGH HOURS IN THE DAY! type stuff. But, we get to play in the dirt and get muddy! Yay! (for those of you who are looking at me funny, you are talking to a girl who used to make sculptures out of mud when she didn't have clay readily available, and who searched around her yard trying to find the Perfect Dirt needed to turn into the Perfect Mud so as to create her very own fossils when she was little. Whee, dirt is fun!)
2:00 - 2:50 pm - BREAK! I'll actually have time to eat, yay!
3:00 - 6:00ish pm - Geomorphology lecture and Lab
This is one of the classes I was really looking forward too. And I am disappointed. :(
Turns out the teacher won't be doing much of any lecture at all, and instead the class will consist of book assignments that are due at the beginning of class and labs that we will be working on during the class period. So, yeah, basically it will be lots of reading and lots of homework. On the bright side, since it is a whole three hours, chances are I'll be able to finish my assignments in class. If, you know, I actually do the readings. And I hate reading text books. I learn mostly through listening and taking notes; reading the text is about as helpful to me as using a leaf when what I really need is toilet paper - it works okay for the worst of the mess, but it is a far cry from good ol' TP.
