Posted pictures from last night's Doggy Helobalooza in my Facebook, and you can find the album
here if you wanna see the pictures with running commentary. For those of you who don't have facebook, it is Pic Spam Time!
Argyle (left) and Marly (right). A kinda blurry picture, but I post it anyway because it shows nicely the comparison between size, particularly the fact that Marly takes up almost as much space as Argyle's head and shoulders. And yet it was Argyle who spent the evening being chased around by Marly, who is maybe a third his size soaking wet. I really wish I got pictures of the chase, but by the time I got the camera out they were on a Panting/Water break. ::sigh::
However, Argyle totally found a new friend. Between chasing jiggs, he and Marly would lie down right next to each other or would be lying nose to nose. It was insanely adorable.
Say it with me now... "Awwwwww!"
This is the back of Jake's head, cause he turned as I was clicking. It's the only picture I have of him, too. Ah, well.
The only picture I got of Scout, cause he's apparently camera shy. Or something. This photo was pure luck as it involved me pointing the camera in the general direction in the dark where I knew Scout, Marly, and Argyle were all standing. You can just see Argyle and Marly's paws behind Scout
Emmies trying to keep our piddly little fire going. The wood was rather damp after several days of pretty much straight rain, so it took quite a bit of convincing.
This is about a half-hour or so after the last picture, and we finally have a promising fire. We totally rock with the Leet Fire Starting Skillzz
Ignition! At last! But wait... What is Emmies writing in the Fire? ::dramatic DUN-DUN-DUUUUUUN music::
OH NOS! Help! I'm burning! OOOH, WHAT A WORLD! (okay, so the quote is technically "I'm Melting!", but whatever)
That funny wet spot is the water that was trapped inside the piece of wood sizzling out as the material heats. Did I mention all of our wood was rather wet?
This is totally my punishment for writing that Jesus/Judas story, right?
Hot coals
As we were cleaning up, the new package of Kleenex Wet Wipes I brought out to clean up the Marshmallow Mess after smores was accidentally dropped into the fire pit. We thought the irony was worth a picture. We found it hilarious at the time.
(and yes, I did fish it out of there after I took the picture, because darnit, it was a brand new package. Besides, I was totally able to salvage all of the wet wipes but the bottom one, which was the side that fell on the coals. The package was toast, however.)
That's all for now. Enjoy!
