Not sure if I'll want to read it again, because damned if it doesn't hurt, especially at the end (still Happy Ever After, but with a rather bitter twist), but I figure I would link it anyway. Beyond the Far Horizon by Sally R takes place after At World's End, picking up six years later. Pirate King Elizabeth has built her empire - and seen it fall. She is captured and taken to England for trial, and with Will banned from setting foot on land, Jack is the one he asks to go save her.
There are sporadic bouts of humor tossed in between quite a bit of angst and heart ache. Though angst and romance really isn't my cup of tea, this one did suck me in and wouldn't really let go until I had finished reading. Even though they are a bit darker than in the movies, the character voices remain as true as one can make them after being burdened with six years of loneliness. They do, however, get a Happy Ever After at the end, even though it requires huge sacrifices on both Elizabeth's and Jack's part.
Again, I'm not sure I'll ever read it again, but the story is extremely good none the less, and I want to have the links hand should I decided to do just that.
Beyond the Far Horizon - by chapter because while most of them have "next chapter" at the end, one or two do not, and I figured this was easier than having to do run around the authors journal trying to find them again.
