Cristin uploading pictures of Chi made me realize that I don't think I've ever posted any pictures of the kitties I'm currently living with on here (I've done quite a few on Facebook, but none on here). So, I decided to remedy that.
This is Rufus. He loves being pet and getting is back scratched, not so much with the picking up (though he doesn't really mind too much, he'll just make his escape as fast as he can). He'll also get all snuggly once in awhile, but for the most part he'd rather you just sit down on the floor/table/couch next to him and scratch his back until your hand falls off. He also begs, much like a dog would.
This is Kaza (first 'a' short, second 'a' long), Kaza Kierro (totally not spelled right) for the full name, though we mostly just call him Kaza Moose because he's gotten a bit pudgy these last few months. He fetches. No, seriously. He has this ratty ball that he brings to one of us to throw and then he'll chase after it and bring it back for more. He's also obsessed with my hair. He snuggles every chance he gets (especially when there is People Food involved), actually enjoys being picked up to the point where sometimes he'll sink in his claws (thankfully kept trimmed) if we try and put him down before he wants us too.
This is Kaza and Rufus playing with JB who is playing with their Most Favoretest Toy EVAH of which they have already destroyed the original. Dustin's mom gave them the first one for Christmas, and they loved it so much Dustin went to PetCo and bought an additional five more just like it to use when the kitties finally tore the first one apart (it lasted until about mid-January). I doubt the second one is very much longer for this world, either.
Took this one I took when I first got my digital camera awhile back. I had been planning on uploading it, but i just never got around to it. You may say "awww!" now. ;)
I've never been much of a cat person, but I gotta admit, Dustin's cats rock. Mostly because they act so much like dogs (my one, true pet love) and are insanely affectionate, and not nearly as "aloof" as all the other cats I've had experience with. They don't even do the uber dignified, "I meant to do that" look whenever they do something stupid like fall off the couch (usually while playing), or one memorable occasion when Kaza was doing Zip Run and Stop maneuver and ended up "zipping" right off the side of the stairs (he meant to stop, but instead he slid on the wood step and fell off the side where the stairwell wall ends about two-thirds of the way down. No worries, he wasn't hurt as far as I could tell). They usually just go right back to running/scampering/playing/whatever they were doing before.
Anyways, those are the kitties I'm currently living with. I still miss my dogs, but at least I have something to snuggle every once in awhile.
