I am kind of stupid. This I already knew, but I just feel the need to state it again.

I went and got a new back pack today so I would have one I could fit my lap top into as well as my books and what not (lord knows I adore my Great Land one that has been with me for at least 10 years now, but it was made before the day when lap tops were readily available to your average student), and I found one at Target with a lap top compartment in it, though I knew when I bought it that there was a 70% chance it would be too small for my Monster Thick HP Pavilion (which, when closed, measures around an inch and a half/two inches thick. However, I decided to take my chance and pick it up, because I'll probably be wanting to take Shadowlite with me tomorrow since I'm stuck at school all afternoon/evening again.

Get home, try it out, and yes, Shadowlite is, in fact, too thick. But, instead of returning it and getting my money back (it wasn't even on sale - full price with tax was somewhere around $36), I decide - with no little trepidation, especially since I wasn't 100% happy with the bag anyway because along with the too small compartment, it doesn't have a nice elastic water bottle holder - that I'll just cut the elastic on one side of the lap top compartment and *make* the sucker fit. It worked, but now I've ruined the bag for any return policy, and even with a fitting lap top the zipper doesn't close entirely.

Therefor, I decree that I am stupid. And impatient. I wanted a lap top bag and I wanted it *now*, so now I'm stuck with it. Oh, I'll make it work, but that doesn't make me any less stupid.

(I feel like I'm using this icon rather often lately. And unlike my usual "oh, I haven't used my Dief icon in awhile!", I feel I very much deserve his mockage. "Intelligent life" indeed.)

i be stupid, computer, spam, shopping
