This was written Wednesday night when we had all the sparkly first storms of the season come through. Along with the storms came some connection issues, though whether that was due to the lightning or to TDSnet's *oh* so capable servers, I do not know.

Bwahaha! I rock!

For those of you who have a Hotmail account, you might've noticed how a few months ago they updated everyone to Windows Live Mail Beta layout. There was no way to sort the order in which my emails appeared (as in, no matter what I messed with, they would always show up with the newest ones on top and the oldest ones on bottom), so I switched back to the regular boring and annoying Hotmail layout and actually took the time to fill out their survey on why I switched back, because yeah, I like being able to read my mail in the order it is received. And, pretty much every question they asked, I answered "I want to be able to arrange how my inbox is organized! I want the oldest dates to be on top and the newest on bottom so I can read and delete them in the order I received them!"
Just now when I signed in, the first page it opened too was "Give us another shot! We've changed, honest!" And sure enough, they gave me the option to organize my emails by date! Guess I wasn't the only one who liked reading their emails in order. The date is the only one that you can organize them by, mind, but hey. Small steps, I suppose. Guess those who want to organize it by size/sender/alphabetized subject headers have to boycott a few more times.

In other news, heard back from the mechanic who's taking care of Coyote (he's been on vacation the last week. The mechanic, not Coyote). Engine will have to be entirely rebuilt, and total cost will be around $2500. Ouch. But, I'd rather spend two and a half grand to rebuild an engine that will likely give me at least another 100,000 miles then spend that same amount on another used car that always has the chance of having its own expensive issues a few months after I buy it and end up spending more money in the long run. Also, it's Coyote. I love Coyote. He took damned good care of me up until his heart went and gave out, and I think I should return the favor. Besides, most dealerships would've charged 4500 bucks for a car like him anyway, and dad has even found some prices upwards of 7 or 9 thousand for the same make and model with as many or more miles on them. Apparently we got damned lucky finding a car like him for only $1950.
However, that plus the loan I'll have to pay back adds up to about $4000, which is just about all I have in all of my accounts combined. So, once everything is said and done, I will very much be the picture of a poor college student. Or, well, college drop out, I suppose, since I won't be taking any more classes until the summer session at the earliest. Ugh, I hate money.

And now I run off and disconnect from the phone line because there is lightning outside. Wheee, spring storms!

hotmail, car
