Well, I've got it down to two choices from perusing through Amazon.com. The SanDisk 512 MB which holds up to 8 hours of MP3s and costs 80 bucks or the Creative MuVo TX FM 256 MB player which holds only 4 hours of music, but only cost about 60 bucks all said an done. I'm torn because the cheap-scape in me is clamoring that 4 hours (or about 4 ( Read more... )

I'd read some reviews of both products before you make a final decision. Also, 512 sounds like plenty, but you'll probsbly fill it up quicker than you think. I thought the 4 GB on my nano would be more than enough, but now I scramble for space on it. :)

Yeah, but all the nanos cost 150 bucks or more, and I am so not spending that much on something I won't use much more than a half an hour/hour every other day while I'm working out. It's just not worth it ( ... )

BUT if u buy the 512MB one then you'd feel OBLIGATED to work out and thus use it AFTER phsy ed is over and isn't that worth 20$?

Ha, yeah... so I'm sure I would tell myself when the semester finally finishes. Something tells me that my chronic laziness would win out, though. ;)
As it stands, though, I am leaning more toward the 512 one, if only because I want more choices and I want to be able to fit my music to my mood. I want the Miss Congeniality and/or Ghost Busters soundtrack for when I'm happy, Vanessa Mae's Storm for when I want fun and bouncy, Bourn Supremacy soundtrack for when I want something with a beat I can work out too, Savage Garden Affirmation because it's my favoritests CD ever, and something celtic-ey for when I'm in one of those sleepy, easy listening moods. ;)

I have a Sandisk, not that one, but the boxy version. I think mine also holds 512MB. I've had it since my birthday, and I absolutely love it. It's really easy to use and has great little sound. I even dropped it once and it's still good!

that's what I'm leaning more toward myself. Its shiny. And it's blue. And I could upload more CDs onto it so I could pick the album that best fitted my mood. :)
