The girls got their highest score of the season tonight! They actually seemed to be on target for once, and the results were awesome... There's just something about your last home meet of the season that brings out the best in everyone. Anyway, I'm glad the three seniors (who have been in gymnastics with Mom for at least a decade each) got to go out with a 'hurrah!' instead of a 'Gah!' I'm also glad that Mom got to go out with a bang, too. She got all emotional and weepy when I gave her the flowers and the cards the girls wrote for her, so I really think they meant a lot and I hope they only back up the assurance of how proud I've been of her these past couple of years. She has worked her ass off for these girls for the last *twelve years*… It's about time she got some recognition - and a bit more respect - from all of them, which she got tonight. So, yes. It was a long night but it was a good one for once, so I can't complain.

On a totally different note, the weather people told us we were supposed to get scattered snow flurries on and off all day. The on and off thing? Lasted from 7:30 in the morning when we left until about 5:00 in the evening when I had finished with my class. And at least 70% of those hours there was enough snow in the air to limit visibility slightly. But, hey, I didn't have to drive through it, so YAY snow!
The weather people also inform us that we are going to get clobbered by a belated blizzard (seriously, we've been due one since December) on Thursday. Can't say as I'm surprised, but I so totally am *not* looking forward to driving through that. ::sighs::
But again with the YAY snow!
