Maren sleepy. Maren went to see parents in Point Bass for Archeology Days. It was very very hot and her ice cream cone melted all over her hand, but it twas very very nummy.

And, to fit in with what seems to have become a daily occurrence the past two weeks, while I was there, when had a huge ass storm blow up. There were sirens and everything, so parents and I packed everything up within about 15 minutes, with me running back and forth the quarter mile or so between my car and the site carrying heavy boxes of rocks. My arms didn't stop shaking until two hours after everything had been packed up. We went and hid in a gas station/McDonalds to wait out the storm, and my arms were shaking so much that I was having trouble holding my soda. Guess that will teach me to not carry quite so much quite so fast in quite such high temperatures. The rest of me was fine, my arms were just shaky as hell. Was not fun.

However, before the storm blew up, we were having a pretty good time. Mom and dad were making arrowheads while I tried to sell stuff. Got to show off a little of my Native American knowledge. :) It was also fun to watch all the people walking by in different costumes that so totally weren't from the era they were trying to portray. For the most part they were pretty close, but there are always a few that - while they are a welcome part of the Pioneer Days - were a little shy of traditional. ;)

And oh, look, its lightning outside... You know, I'm as big a fan of thunderstorms as the next person, but this whole "at least two severe storms a day" thing that has been happening for the past two weeks is getting kinda old.
