(no subject)
Have just showered all the icky grass and grime and sun screen and all the stuff one acquires on one's skin when one mows the lawn away... Ahhh, it is good to be clean.
On a totally different note, alas... no permanent account for me as I just spent 40 bucks at Biblio.com, used book place, on what I hope to be numbers 5 through 8 of the Ace-edition Anita Blake books. For I am weak. I also got number 9, but since I think it was published after LKH and her company moved to Jove, I imagine it will be back to the naked ladies. Ah, well, that was one cover that really didn't bother me too much when I saw it. I even kinda liked the shadow butterfly effect, though I would prefer it to not be on the back of yet another naked lady. But, hey, beggars can't be choosers I suppose. I do mourn the loss of the possibility of getting a permanent LJ account, though... :(
I also asked Kim - friend of ours who own's a used book store - to keep any eye out for any Ace editions of the first four Anita Blake books. If she can find them, I'll be more than happy to exchange with my brand-spankin new, only been read once Jove editions and let some hormonal teenage boy (or girl) enjoy those covers. I'll even pay for the books along with donating the other ones, so is all good for her! If she can find them, that is. If she *does* find me the original copies? I would be one very happy girl.
I will stop obsessing over the Anita Blake books one of these days, I swear... in the mean time, feel free to ignore my mindless babble.
