Rude Awakenings
I was scheduled to work this morning from 8 until 12. I didn't realize this until 8:10, at which point I was still in bed. Thank god Sara called, otherwise I probably wouldn't have realized it at all.
I did however managed to stumble out of bed, throw some clothes on, and be heading out the drive way by 8:15 however, even if it meant I didn't get a chance to brush my teeth or comb my hair. Managed to get to the Y by 8:45, in which I got glared at and scolded a bit by Sara, but all in all she seemed pretty forgiving. This is the first time something like this has happened after I've been working there for almost five years, so I don't think it should be much of a mark against me. But, still, was a rather rude awakening. I hope I didn't stink too much... I had been planning on taking a shower this morning, but with the whole work thing, that idea was shot. Took a shower after my shift though, so is all good. Either way, I don't think I stunk as much as the pool office area. It smelled like stale beer. I Best Scent-ed the hell out of it and the office *still* stunk, but at least the Fresh Ocean Breeze covered up the stale beer smell a bit. As to *why* the pool office smelled like stale beer, I have no idea. Been like that since last week.
