Today:
~ Got assigned group play for Oral Interp... It's called "Go Look" by Christopher Graybill and it involves a girlfriend and a boyfriend (I think) going camping together and it has some really amusing dialogue... Here's the first "scene" if anyone is interested (and if you can't figure it out, I'm Kath and the guy I was assigned to play this out with, Kyle, is Danny of course).
Kath: What was that?
Danny: Hunh?
Kath: I heard something.
Danny: What did it sound...
Kath: Shhh.
Danny: OK.
Kath: It stopped
Danny: Good.
Kath: Go look.
Danny: What?
K: Go look outside. Around the tent
D; What for?
K: It might be something
D; Kath...
K: Please.
D: I'm not dressed
K: Who's going to see you?
D; Whatever made the noise
K: It won't care if you have cloths on
D: It? What kind of it?
K: I don't know
D: you mean like a bear?
K: No. Not necessarily
D: You want me to go look for something that's not necessarily a bear. In the middle of the night. In the middle of nowhere. In my underwear.
K: Take a flashlight
D: Why don't you go?
K: You're the man.
D. Right. I forgot.
K; I was kidding
D: No gun, no knife, but I've got the dick. What am I going to do with that? Piss on him? Fuck him?
K: You are gross
D: Thank you
K: I was only kidding anyway--about you being the man.
D: Why don't you go?
K: Me?
D; Yeah, stuff the flashlight in your jeans. The bear will think you're *really* dangerous.
K: You are disgusting. Just forget it.
I just thought that was rather shipper-esque, don't you think? :D
~ Ended up getting a hand cramp and a headache in algebra due to all the writing and the new assignments she gave us today... Adding/subtracting/multiplying/dividing formulas with fractional exponents... My brain went owwie and my hand agreed. Also got assigned three new assignments in there which are due on Wednesday... add that to the two assignments I'm already behind in that class, and it makes for a big time algebra overload and possible brain revolt... I have a feeling tomorrow is gonna be a long day in the mental department.
~ Swam 500 yds at the Y before lifeguarding from 3:30 to 6:30 at the Y... was a rather boring shift until I pinched my finger up in the high chair and now have a little blister because of it... Then it just became boring *and* painful.
~ Gots a handful of Easter goodies on my way out the door after shift had ended... Sometimes working at a kid-friendly place has it's kicks. :)
~ Had a very good dinner of roast beef, mashed potatoes, green beans, Italian bread, and home made apple pie down at my gramma's after getting done with work... Was yummy.
