crack_van is evil. It is the evilist of all evils (except maybe chlorine). It is so evil it should be banned... because it sucks up perfectly good, hard working (psh... yeah right) geeks people and drops 'em in fan fiction paradise - aka, bad fics aren't allowed - no matter what fandom you support, therefore sucking hours upon hours of your life away into this evil little contraption called a computer... Only to expell you from the fan-fic daze for you to realize that an entire day has passed.
I got up this morning at around quarter after 8... Where was the first place I went after brushing my teeth? Yup, this computer in hopes of finishing this *really* good West Wing/Buffy the Vampire slayer fic I started last night (psst... It's called Donna the Vampire Slayer Even if you don't follow either series, it's frelling funny... and even a little angsty), which I found in the lovely crack_van community. It is now 4:05 pm, and not only have I finished all the 36 chapters of DtVS, but I have also read an incredibly lengthy and *really* really heart-wrenching Farscape AU, in which the Peace Keepers have taken over Earth, called Weight of the World (yet another fic I found at crack_van which can be found here), and I am now reading the first chapter of a Syd/Vaughn Alias fic I just happened to run across at, you guessed it, THAT FRELLING COMMUNITY! My day has disappeared into the wonderful world that is fan fiction, and I have only left this chair to pee, eat, and wash the dishes before my father started glaring at me for not accomplishing anything, a task that took up all of a half hour. And, the only reason I have stopped for the time being is because my grandmother is supposed to take me out to dinner in 10 minutes. That's 8 hours, people, of almost straight fan fic reading... Which for me? Is a pretty damn long time.
I don't know weather to be proud of myself for falling even further into the fandom-whore pool, or horrified that I have spent an entire day reading fan fictions... Seriously, that community is well named... it's like crack.. ::goes all shaky and jittery/paranoid:: Gimme a hit, man!! Just a little one, nothing big... you know, just enough to calm my nerves is all... Just a little hit... GIVE ME MORE, GOD DAMMIT!!!
