Owwwieeee... ::rubs head:: No more thinking! My poor brain...
But, other then the headache due to major algebra problem solving, first day of class went pretty well. Had algebra first at 9... lots and lots of algebra. With waaaay too many fractions... But, at least today I had an hour or there abouts right afterwards to work on the really long, really hard for a girl who hasn't had a math class in 3 years, homework assignment. Teacher seemed nice, though, despite giving too much homework.
Then it was English at 11. Teacher seemed really boring. Iended up discovering I had brought the *wrong* English book, and then had to buy another 88 dollars worth of the *right* books. But, I think I should be able to get at least most of my money back for the wrong one. I mean, it's never been used and I think it was one of the few I woulda been able to sell back to the book store at the end of the year. The teacher also gave us another kinda placement test which lasted most of the hour and 15 minutes, but she then let us leave early once we finished that. And, I even realized that I have a whole 45 minutes between the normal end of English and the start of Geology, so I got to work on part of my English assignment... YAY!
And, last but not least, Geology lecture and lab starting at 1 and going until 2:50. I *really* think I'm gonna like this class. First off, the teacher seems *really* cool. He was born in Africa, got his degree in Norway, and taught a few classes in Canada for a year. He even demanded that we call him by his first name, Iddouah or something like that. Since most of us couldn't pronounce that, he just told us to call him Iddi. By far, at least so far, he's the most animated and active teacher I have. The other two mostly just stood there and gave us notes and/or assignments. So, even though this is probably gonna be the hardest class after Algebra, I really think I'm gonna enjoy it.
Since I was done by 3 and mum couldn't get there to pick me up until 4:30-ish, I spent the next hour and a half or more attempting to work on my algebra assignment again. I finished all of 10 problems in an hour and 45 minutes. Hoooly cow did my head hurt after that. But, at least the answers are in the back of the book so I can check to see if I did the problem right. But still, ow... ::rubs head again::
And, considering I got all of two hours of sleep last night due to some annoying mutt barking *right* outside my window just as I was *finally* falling asleep, I think today went pretty damn good.
