(no subject)
Today was the last day of swim lessons this rotation, I I just have ta say awwwwwww... My kids were *so* sweet!
I didn't get a present or anything, just a few hugs but... duuude, it's just sweet! My first class had nothing but good things to say about me on the little review the parents do on the last day of lessons, and then in my second class (the Pikes) at the end of it, one of the little girls, Emily, came over to me and gave me this big hug just after I gave em their treats (cards for Pappa Murphies Pizza, a free little pan pizza for them and 2 bucks off a big one for their parents). Made me almost wanna cry, I tell ya! I didn't, but if I was a more emotional girl (hell, pretty much any other stereo-typical teenage girl), I woulda. And then after she had hugged me she lifted her hand for a high-five with this big smile and she looked soooo cute!
And then in my Eels class, all three of em were trying to tickle me and giggling when I tickled em back and in my last Polliwog class we played basketball all together. Just... damn, I had such great kids this cycle. Maybe I'll get a few of em back before the summer's over, no?
Next cycle I ain't exactly looking forward too. It's when the Kids Club or day cares from over in Auberndal I think? are coming for lessons, and these guys visit a pool or a water park maybe twice a year, if even, cause they don't have a pool over there. So very few of em can swim, and then we have like 9 classes going on at one time and it's just gonna be hella busy. And, to make it even *more* fun, Sara said that we might be short of teachers signed up to teach the next cycle...Ugh. So, no... Maren is not looking forward to the next two weeks.
But, the good news is I'm done for the week and now have 3 days off... YAY sleeping in!
