Just washed the Chevy again... Why? Cause it was really dusty. That, and my driving test is on Tuesday and I kinda wanted an at least partially decent looking car for that, cause the tester people notice things like that. Poor car's so beat up... he needs a good couple coats of wax as well as some Bondo for all the rust. We have Bondo, but I have no clue how to put it on. We don't have wax, so that's out for the time being. Might run him through a automatic wash and wax tomorrow when we're in town. But, for now he is clean, so hopefully he's happier. (yes, all of our cars have names and personalities... how'd you guess? still haven't figured out a name for the one I just washed, so for now he's just The Chevy or Red)
Still need to clean out his back seat and what not... get all the garbage and extra stuff off the dashboard and maybe give him a good dusting inside... and a window wash. All of them are a mix of Niner's nose smears and fingerprints. So, need to do that by Tuesday too.
Yesterday not a whole lot happened, which is why I didn't really update. Pretty much stayed home and watched TV or did computer stuff. My uncle Mike and cousin Merium stopped by in the afternoon, Merium (who is like 15, I think) to see Ben, cause he lived with em for awhile when he just got outta school and they got close in the brother/sister kinda way, and Mike because he wanted Dad to take him to Powers Bluff. Sandy, my dad's sister (my aunt) and Mike's wife had apparently written a poem about the Bluff and was getting honorable mention for it in something or another, and since she hadn't been there in better then 30 years, wanted to go back and see what she was getting honored for. So, Dad, Mom, Mike, Sandy, Gramma, Merium, and me all packed into my gramma's van and headed up there. Twas very pretty, as it always is, and Sandy and Gramma enjoyed the "Vortex"(some circle of energy up there said to be able to rejuvenate you or something) for a bit. It was pretty, but as soon as I got outta the car I got this lovely headache, the opposite effect of what the Vortex is usually supposed to be... I dunno why, maybe the indian spirits that are up there don't like me all too much or something... :) Or, the better bet is that I'm just a little more sensitive to stuff like that since I've always been sorta an empath. Who knows. The headache hung around until we went home and I went upstairs to take a nap.
And, that was my weekend. Gotta go back to work tomorrow, probably earlier then I have to work cause mom's got a class starting at like 8:30 in the morning and I don't have to work until noon. Greeeeate. But, that's what books are for. I *will* finish Children of Dune one of these days. They're great books, but a lotta information is packed on to one little 4x6 in. page, and there's something like three-hundred of em in that book, little writing.... like 9 point or smaller. So, yeah, it's taking me a bit to get through it all. YAY books!
