(no subject)
Okies. Maren spent the last like 4 hours at her grandmother's house helping at the garage sale and raking the yard of pine needles. Surprisingly enough, I had a pretty good time at it. A few of my cousins were down there also helping, as well as my aunt Susie and Sandy and Mike, another aunt and uncle. Gramma was feeling much better, and she made one of those already cooked sorta meals, you just gotta heat it up and all that, of lasagna and a little processed meat thing of turkey for lunch. It was okay, but what was best about it was all of us stuffing ourselves around a dinner table only made for like 6 (there were something like 10 of us, I think) and jabbering. YAY unplanned family gatherings! I drank lots of iced tea. Raspberry iced tea. It was quite good. I also ate lots of crackers and cheese. Which were also good.
After lunch, I went back out side and raked some more. Then Sydni, one of my cousins, asked me to go help her look for bugs for her science project. We didn't find a whole lot. A few sow bugs and a centipede. I got to play down by the creek in the mud and water, though, so it was all good.
After that I kinda took over watching the garage sale. Gramma did pretty good today, making close to 90 bucks I think. I grabbed one of grampa's old blue flannels that weren't selling all that well and one of those books from the old series "Best in Children's Stories" that I loved so much when I was a little girl (and still read, I admit it. They're good stories! Old Hans Christian Anderson tales, and probably some Grimm ones, too, and a buncha other nursery rhymes and such).
I came home around quarter after 3. I was tired, and I had heard my mommy had made some nummy cereal bars (like rice krispie bars, only with different kinds of cereal instead, like a mix of Chex and kicks and shreaded wheat and other stuff) that I wanted to get my hands on before they were all eaten up by my brothers. Yeah, I'm eating one right now. It's like my 5th one, I think. :D
Damn... it all gone. ::goes to get another one::
