YAY big doggies!
Another nice day today. I took Nine for a walk down to Gramma's, who wasn't home but I still left her the first spring flowers that I found on the walk down. Which is another spazzy point... WE HAVE SPRING FLOWERS!!!! YAY! We got Spring Beauties galore, and I found some Blood root, too. (white flower that looks sorta like a daisy, except more cupped in shape and fewer petals. It also has this orange sorta sap that you get all over your fingers if you pick one). Niner, of course, took a dip in the creek on the way down and back, so I came home with a very wet doggie.
Speaking of doggies, my dad just came home with Jake, a giant Newfoundland. He biiiiiiiiiiig... Almost twice as big at Nine, and Nine is a big dog! But he a sweetie. He belongs to some friends of the family, and Dad dog-napped him for the afternoon so he could come out here in to the country and run around a bit. He lives in town, where there ain't a whole lot of room for a big dog to roam around in. Spends most of his days lying on the floor at his Mommy and Daddie's house and only doing one or two daily walks. So, Dad brought him out here for a few hours, I'm assuming with the permission of Kim (his owner). So far, he's loving it. Already I've seen him run, and that something very few have ever seen him do. :D Nine doesn't seem to like him much, but she's not used to having dogs bigger then she is around. But, who knows, maybe she'll warm up to him. But oh how I pity the grooming Kim is gonna have to do on him after a few hours of playing in the weeds and burrs... poor Kim. :)
