Asking for Fairy Tale links
This is a rather pointless update since I doubt few people beyond my friends list will actually *read* it, and as far as I know they are as clueless as I am. But I figure it's worth a shot, right? :)
Anyhoo, yeah... I'm being plagued by drabbles on my Friends List, and wonder beyond wonders, my muse thwaps me over the head with another idea. It will probably be more of a ficlet then a drabble, though, cause I dunno if I can really do want I wanna do within 100 words. :)
Anyways, I'm looking for links or sites to the Original Fairy Tales. As in the ones that haven't been totally child-ized and turned into Happily Ever After, where Cinderella's step sisters actually carved off their own feet in order to fit them into the glass slipper and the Little Mermaid killed herself to save the prince.
Why do I want morbid fairy tales? Because I wanna do some research. See, I'm thinking that the fic will be based around Sleeping Beauty's character, and I know she had a name beyond Sleeping Beauty. I think it was Aurora, but I'm not sure. I also want to look into the bad guys, such as the Evil Queen and the Evil step mothers and all the other villains and see what might be behind their stories. And, the basic plot will be "There's no such thing as Happily Ever After" or something relating to that, because it's all about the angst, baby. :D
So, any help would be much appreciated. I bait you with fic... ::holds fic just outta reach of fellow fic monsters:: and hope it might spur a few of you go give me some suggestions...
