I have nothing against the new Star Trek films. In fact, I even rather enjoy them in a purely sci fi/action movie aspect. I do rather wish the hadn't made amazing, strong female bad asses such as language expert comm genius LT. Uhura and super techie weapons engineer DR. Carol Marcus into the emo love interest and the girl who looks good in her underwear, though
