Yesterday, myself and some of my nerdiest of friends spent 12 hours watching the six original Star Trek Films. Because we're masochists like that.
It was surprisingly less painful than I had thought it would be.
None the less, my brain was well and truly mush by the end of the night and I had eaten far, far too much junk food over the course of those 12 hours, so about all I managed to do when I got home around 10:30 pm (the marathon had started at 9am, with a break for dinner around 6 or 7pm) was flip through Facebook, check my email, and then crash like a mad crashing thing.
Still, brain-numbing hours of William Shatner's dramatic monologuing aside, Bones was and forever will remain to be awesome, and all in all it was definitely not a bad way to spend a very, very rainy Saturday. (The drive home was exciting - torrential rain paired with slightly flooded streets and bald tires is a sure way to get the adrenaline pumping, even more so when your brain had gone into drone mode after 12 hours of Star Trek)
