(no subject)
Had a lovely family gathering at my aunt's today! I ate entirely too much, and I now have candy (from my brother), a new candle (also from my brother, or possibly my cousin. Either way, it works out well because now I don't have to buy a replacement for the one in my bathroom. :) ), a book of letters my grampa wrote home during World War II (from my dad and my aunt, who both worked crazy hard to self-publish it. It looks fantastic!), an old copy of The Jungle Book (from my dad; kind of an inside joke, but I'm still going to read it), a whole slew of hand creams and nail files and cuticle care stuff so I can give myself a manicure should I ever need one (from my other aunt and her husband), a silver bracelet (from another cousin who travels a lot), and an awesome pair of red and black striped knee socks. Good times were had by all, and I have leftovers, which is always a good thing.
Gramma and I also drove through the Winter Wonderland/Festival of Lights at Wildwood on our way back home. The Rotary Club seriously outdid themselves this year, but then again, they always do. Might have to try and find the energy to walk over there to get pictures within the next few days, because I think the last night they run it is New Years Eve.
One more get-together tomorrow afternoon here at the apartment and then I can go home and relax for Christmas Day. Thank goodness for my surprise day off Thursday, because I was able to clean and decorate everything then instead of having to do it all yesterday on top of having to finish up all my Christmas presents for everyone.
