wowomom and her friend morningloryblue are doing this thing called Tuesday Tell All, where you set up some goals for yourself and then do a weekly report on your successes (or failures, though hopefully more of the former and less - or better yet, none! - of the latter) as far as reaching those goals. I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon, too, in the hopes that I might get back on track with the job search thing, which hasn't been happening now for almost a month. Also, it's getting into spring and summer, and even though I've actually lost about ten pounds since I got home from Washington last March, I'd like to *keep* losing weight, so setting food-and-exercise goals might not be a bad idea, either. Especially after all the crap I've eaten the last few weeks.
So, THIS WEEK I want to:
* Apply for at least five jobs. Seriously, even with more hours at they Y, you're barely breaking the $200 mark every pay check, and after gas and groceries and bills, there isn't anything left to pay toward your school loans. Deferment is nice, but the longer they sit there, the more interest you accrue. Also, you spent $18,000 to get your degree, so you damned well better make use of it.
* Eat at least one healthy meal a day. Ramen, chicken tenders, and Mac and Cheese do not a balanced diet make.
* Swim laps at least once to make up for not being in the water as often during swim lessons this cycle. Totally did that today (and yesterday, too!) because one of my private lessons canceled. Go me!
