Daylight Savings people, Fall Back today if you haven't already!

Figures that I'd get a whole extra hour to sleep, only to not wake a single time during the night (usually I wake up around 3:30 my body's inner alarm clock is still set to 5:30 back home) and finding myself wide awake at the newly deemed 5:30 am. Not on, body. On the bright side, at least now I only have to wait an hour for the sun to rise. Which might be nicer if it wasn't completely overcast and rainy. ::sigh::

In other news, during my Sleep Like The Dead Thing last night, I dreamed my dad had bought me a new motorcycle and I was riding it for the first time for the short trip from our family's church back home (about two miles). After some gathering at church, I was trying to stash away the few things I still had to carry in various bags and boxes built into the machine while some of the bored gentlemen who had attended whatever the Thing was got together and decided to do a street race with their trucks. I saw them line up to start, but then someone came over - the sheriffs or the like - to chew them out as a street race in a tiny village would probably not end well, and I made my escape.

As I still did not have much practice riding a motorcycle, I was very cautious and took my time, probably riding the break and the clutch a little harder than necessary, but most certainly not enough for first the break to fall off in my hands, and not long after the clutch as well (they were both located on the handlebars in my dream; I think that's where they are in real life too, yes?), and so there I was sitting somewhere around Chili Park (of course, in the dream the DreamTown was waaaaaay different than the ActualTown, hence the "somewhere around") with a broken motorcycle and still about two miles away from home (again, Dream Chili was kind of wacked out, so even though I had managed to travel a good distance before my bike fell apart, apparently Dream Me was pretty convinced we were still a ways from home), and I was scolding myself for forgetting my cell phone so I couldn't call dad and see if he could come help me fix it.

Then I woke up, an my clock told me it was 6:30, which is really 5:30 with Daylight Savings ending, and I was wide awake with no hope to fall back asleep.

dreams, daylight savings
