I'm a pretty open person, but this is me jumping in the band wagon of "Please don't cross post any comments or entries of mine on Facebook or Twitter or what have you". Honestly, there isn't much I want to keep secret on either media, but I still kind of like the idea of keeping all my LJ friends and all my Facebook friends separate, if only ( Read more... )

I've seen a lot of this floating around the last few days and it had never even occured to me before to take someone else's life and post of FB. Why would you even do that?

Personally I keep the to *mostly* seperate. Only occasionally will I put a LJ entry over there. Pretty sure you're the only one who crosses over on each list at any rate.

Yeah, you get a comment spam - I reread the first one I wrote, realized that no, it didn't make much sense, so I deleted it and rewrote it.

Also, like I said, I really don't have much of anything to hide - my idea of Facebook is similar to yours in that I use it mostly to keep track of my family - none of whom are on LJ - and to post the shorter, spammy updates there, and to save my LJ for more actual updatey type stuff. I have a lot of crossover friends who do kinda the same thing i do for LJ vs. Facebook - LJ is for updates, Facebook is for spam or a short summary of the longer LJ entries.
