Taking a short break from the digitizing because, according to my bosses, I am too darned efficient for govt. work because I keep getting everything done so fast. Also, there is only so much digitizing a girl can do before her eyes cross and her wrist and elbow start complaining

You could always hook up with one of the nice guys at the auto shop. This could work in your favor... One of my boyfriends in high school loved cars and I got brakes done for free. ;-)

Honestly? I was totally considering that - or at least considering posting a classified add in the newspaper or something to the likes of "Wanted - single male 25-35 years old with a background in auto mechanics to help fix and maintain my 1996 Geo Tracker. Must be willing to be jumped at least once a month and used for sexual release."

That, or a one night stand in Vegas.

Well, just make sure you ask for qualifications as far as the Geo goes. Don't want shoddy work done on the car. ;-)

And while you're at it you might as well ask for past lover references too. Make sure the whole package (rim-shot!) is good.

Oh, btw, you suck. I miss having each holiday be a 4 day weekend. Apparently real jobs don't do that. :-P

Most of my office will actually be working on Monday *because* it is Memorial Day Weekend and we are in charge of two or three pretty big camp sites and a bunch of parks, so the Park Rangers will be out in force. I'm taking an actual vacation starting Friday and going through next weekend; not sure if I would have Memorial Day off or not if I wasn't.

Nah, probably not. Because I take the Van Bus to work most days, I'm pretty much stuck there until quitting time. Whether or not I do actual *work* and stuff once 2:30 rolls around, well, I ain't admitting anything on that. ;)

I thought about taking my own vehicle and leaving a bit early tomorrow, but then I spent an hour at the auto shop getting my car taken care of kinda killed that idea because the auto place didn't open until 8. Since we start at 7 at the dam and it is a 20 mile drive, I figured I would just sleep in an extra hour before taking my car in as soon as the auto place opened, and then get to work two hours later rather than drive a total of 80 miles back and forth all morning.
