First, a few "yay!" things:
Chuck giving Ellie the wedding of her dreams totally made me grin like an idiot. They are just so *adorable*! I wish I was that close to my brothers. Granted, I would've probably done something similar if I found myself in that situation for one of them (or for one of my friends), but still, it wouldn't be the same. Also, Zach way cuter than either of my brothers.
JayneCasey and his special forces team ordering flowers and picking out the fabric for bridesmaid dresses = THE BEST SCENE EVER!
I wanted to pet Bryce's hair. Because I am strange like that. Also, he's still as pretty as ever.
Scott Backula (sp?) really fits the part of Chuck's dad well, personality-wise. They even look a bit alike. However, I think both Chuck and Ellie are taller than he is, so unless Chuck's mom is really tall, it might be a biological improbability. That does not stop Scott Backula from being awesome these last few episodes, though, and I hope he sticks around as a recurring guest star if Chuck gets signed for a third season.
Now, a few "Um..." things:
Though I saw it coming, the new intersect turning Chuck into a kung-fu master irks me a little bit. I mean, I am *all* about him being able to at least defend himself now because I've been wishing the writers would at least give him some self defense training what with the whole carrying around all the secrets of the government in his head, and the whole "Chuck gets in trouble; Sarah and/or Casey have to save him" plot angle does get old. What irritates me is that Chuck being a "innocent" is kind of what made this show so fresh and entertaining in the first place. He truly was the ordinary guy being forced into extraordinary situations, entirely against his will. Now they went and turned him into a walking weapon. Not cool, ya'll.
The other part that irks me about the kung-fu thing is that those kinds of moves come with years of body-training. It's not just about being able to go through the motions, it's having the muscle memory and strength to back them up. Even if you got "Kung-Fu for Dummies" downloaded into your brain, your body still would need some sort of training to pull them off, otherwise there would be a *lot* of muscle pulling at the least, and possibly worse injuries like hernias or broken bones at the most.
And does anyone else think Bryce's gunshot wound was in the wrong place to really be fatal? One of his kidneys might've been hit, but that's about it. If it hit the lung or stomach, he would've had blood coming out of his mouth. Me thinks we haven't seen the last of him. Well, unless Chuck doesn't get picked up for a third season.
And now I am off to do my chemistry homework. Or watch NCIS. I still haven't decided on that one.
