Help me Beta-Won-Kanobi!
Okay, so like I said, I fully intend to send my resume and some writing samples to Earth Magazine in response to the internship they're offering next summer. I'm working on editing some of the papers I've written these last few years for one class or another so I can send them in as samples. However, I know I am not perfect and I won't see every little problem and, now that I'm actually *reading* these things again, I am going "holy shit, are these even *good* enough to get a second glance? I swear, I'm a good writer, but why do all these suddenly look like crap?"
So, um... Anyone willing to do a quick beta? And give me a bunch of constructive criticism? And do it in a day or two?
Kate? Jodie? Maybe even Becca if grad school isn't stabbing your brain with a fork? Anyone at all?
I *know* you all can spell, and can point out any glaring grammatical errors I miss, and the two papers I'm thinking about using aren't more than 5 pages each (well, 10 double spaced, but whatever) and probably won't take more than a few minutes to read through.
