my gosh it has been a long time!! and so much has happened but i couldnt begin to possibly remember it all!! after a hard week of essay writing and the following week of studying for exams... i can officially say im on a break.. even though i have an assignment due on friday... but its easy... and then a exam on the 20th.... it feels soooo good to not have to worry about little things anymore!
this past saturday a whole bunch of us in peterborough got together and had the most wicked christmas dinner ever! everyone pitched in to make food and there was waaaaaaay to much food there!! a huge thanks goes to dave, jeff, elaine, jimmy and chantel for getting me the telescope for my birthday!!! you guys will never know how special it is to me! it was just such a good time of opening presents, eating good food and spending time with the people you love... ohh and lots of drinking!
i hope i get to see a lot of friends over the break because i miss soooooo many people... sara... alexa... catlin... vanessa.... rudy... steph......
i cant believe im going to be 20 in eleven days.... madness
i cannot stop listening to the get up kids... they are too fucking fabulous... i recommend you all download the song called campfire kansas... truely it is an amazing song... and it also seems to sum up how i've been feeling lately.. even though its about summer.... everythings coming up milhouse!!!
woke up at eight, started a fire
had a few drinks, we all felt inspired
jumped in the stream, our shoes and canteens
the water is bitter cold
laid in the raft till it started moving
the current just sang, the song was so soothing
we stopped along the way
on a beach in the sun on a beautiful day
our boats collide, we feel the breeze
we stay afloat and make the most of everything
by noon we had swung the ropes in the woods
missed all dangers, snakes and the floods
burned by the rays and next to our legs, the water so bitter cold
lunch had been saved along with the lighters
wet cigarettes serve us as reminders
never trust a man with food, change of clothes, and a drink in his hand
our boats collide, we feel the breeze
we stay afloat and make the most of everything
the sun will set, the stars would shine
the trees would shake, we'd all feel fine
let's take the moon and make it shine for everyone
we'd laugh away the sunburn
as we laughed away his day
what we lost means nothing

caught the last bus, with no time to linger

i turned and looked away to the bus, gravel road and a beautiful day
