can anyone familier with youtube help me out

I'm trying to upload my latest Karaoke performance but I've never uploaded a video before and the site is pissing me off. when I click on upload video it wants to confirm my email so I say ok, it sends me an email, I click the link on the email, it takes me back to youtube where it says that my email is confirmed and then just stays on that screen and doesn't let me proceed to upload my video. If I click upload video from that screen it just wants to confirm my email address again and I get stuck in a loop. I've tried using the site with both internet explorer and firefox so I doubt that it's a browser error. so can anyone who has uploaded videos help me out?

fixed the problem by telling the browser to always accept cookies from youtube.com in case anyone else runs into this problem in the future
