this is my ultimate otp promotion post ! this is a picspam/lovestory i did for nurly of how in my eyes they grew from that little crush to something more! but the purpose of this post right now is for me to keep tracks of their moments throughout my life , i would be adding pictures and quotes along the way , this is for fun , if you don't like mavid or slash for that matter don't bother looking at this , but if you're up for a laugh at my stupid jokes , take a look. take it or leave it baby :)
so there's this show called american idol , and two guys , one american and one australian had went to the tryouts without having the slightest idea of what's waiting for them ahead. their story begin there. two guys , the american david roland cook born on 20th of december in blue springs , missouri , 25 years old , and the australian , michael lee johns born on the 20th of october in perth , australia , 29 years old , both utterly talented(and charming and sexy), both got through the audition , both got to go to hollywood week , and that was when things got interesting. not many realized that they were already friends since hollywood week , but i did! they're both such goofballs/ jokers , i guess that was what made them clicked so easily since day one.
disclaimer ; i do not own these boys , all the commentating is just what i have in my mind and it's probably untrue even though how much i hope this is real. so if david/michael found this , please don't sue me, i love you guys so much , you have no idea!
we first saw michael lee johns in san diego where he sang i've been loving you for too long and we first saw david roland cook in omaha where he sang living on a prayer , i've been in love with them since those auditions that they did , and right after i saw david's audition i went " gosh , this david dude is so for michael lee ( he didn't changed his name yet at that time ) they'd make a wonderful wonderful couple ", and what did i told you ? they really did happened. mavid happened.
the first time michael set his foot on the stage during hollywood week to sing his solo , he sang bohemian rapsody which left one particular person called david cook in awe :
then michael goes on to the second round , and so did david ( they actually didn't really show david's performances all that much , and when david did sing they didn't showed the crowd at all , dang it! michael could've been three you GAH.) michael second performance was light my fire , which left me in awe , and as always david as well , this happened during the performance :
then both michael and david moved on to the top 24 , where we finally got to see some real michael/david loving , where michael FINALLY reacted to david's little crushes. during week one and so on we got to see more interaction between them and it was obvious that their relationship was growing day by day.
then , nothing much really happened anymore , until 27th march 2008 , top 10 group medley , it was on!
after that , there's more loving between them lovely boys , being around each other all the time , laughing and cracking jokes together , it seemed like it was just right when they were around each other.
and then that one particular dolly parton week , they made all the fangirls ( specially me! ) crazy with all the little moments they had during the show ( island in the stream , little sparrow , it's all wrong but it's alright ) ;
then they had the inspiration songs themed week , where wonderful things also happened between them :
during the idol gives back show during the top 8 round , many squeeeful things happened between the two boys! :
but then , michael got booted off from the show , david , well david cried , and this here i stated that while michael was singing his last song he had pointed towards the couch , and david at the end of the show had said towards the crowd " are you happy now ? "
but that's okay because :
THEY WERE STILL ALIVE BABY!
there was time after michael johns's way-too-early departure that david looked lost and he tend to get very emotional during shows , and michael never seemed to come to the show and clearly stated himself that he wasn't , he didn't really wanted to go back. but on the top 3 elimination show , michael finally came back to the show where he sat in the audience , he looked pleasantly happy when the final two results was told. after the elimination round , he met up with david where they had a third chestbump on stage! i didn't quite catch the moment into a picture , but i do have a picture of them after the show at a restaurante! david was quiet happy to see michael again , and all his sadness obviously went away :

moving on , they also had this habit of stealing each other clothes , or should i just said they tend to share their things , let's see what they had shared so far :
now , let's see some of the other behind the scenes moments that made us all crazy/happy. first there was this ;
then there was some of this , which i like to call " HARRASING SEGMENT WITH DAVID AND MICHAEL ".
and there was this lovely lovely week where we get to see the SECOND tummy to-crotch chestbump! and more moments between the boys ; these are taken from making the commercial " i just want to celebrate "

during the grande finale show , a lot of moments happened between the boys , it was basicly a mavid show.
and even backstage they were together!
this is the best moment ever.

I wanted to point out a classic MJ/DC bromance moment from last night that may have been missed because although it was on the monitors in the theater, on the broadcast you can barely see it in the last frame before the show ended (right before they cut to DC's bro saying "that's my brother"). MJ was standing next to DC as he finished the song and he leaned in and said something to the effect of "you did it, man". And then: "I love you".
