finally...
Alright i havent made an update in like a week and a lot of stuffs been going on, nothing too big but still stuff nonetheless. First, THE RED SOX WON THE WORLD SERIES!!!! It was amazing, watching every out of games 2, 3 and 4 glued to the tv after watching the dramatics in game 1 at elaines place. Its one of those once in a lifetime things that im just so lucky to be a red sox fan for, considering they havent won in 86 years and got to give the yankees the worst collapse in playoff history. Spent the weekend in kent state, the days were terrible in boring committees trying to wake up and checking my watching while making fun of the guys and picking out which girls were hot. The nights were awesome, drinking, smoking in the hotel, stealing ties and burning this kids underwear, jay bashing his head open, being forced to sleep across the street in the holiday inn. Went to a nice bar and grill thursday, could smoke inside and didnt get carded, oo baby. Met some nice girls w/ guppie and jay, ended up seein them at the vfw for the halloween party the next nite where we also didnt get carded. Danced more than i had in years, my legs are still a little bit sore but it was all good. It was like a high school dance with alcohol, i mean come on they played kc and jojo which was like 1998. Danced w/ this nice jane girl from ohio wesleyan for a while, prolly see her in harvard when we go this spring as well as the other people we liked, including like the only cool guy in our committee.
Alright thats that, we went to a mexican restaurant there with 99 cent drafts but the food was bad news, hit up every other fast food place id love, spent a lot of money, to be expected. Slept for about 13 hrs sunday til monday to catch up, it was wonderful. Oh yeah and i found my inhaler monday morning, it was tucked between the bed and the wall where james and i checked numerous times to no avail. It was the perfect timing cuz things were starting to get a little bad. So i got a test in art and lit thursday, a topic guide for model un due tuesday and a paper due for western civ in 2 weeks from today, plus have to start planning things for my presentation in world views. I guess im supposed to meet a couple people in the library today to start on a topic but yeah i dont know who im looking for.
Okay so i dont really know how bush won, i really dont. Aside from young fascists who wanna take over the world, extreme christians and gun fanatics, how can you be pro bush?! How can you be a girl whos pro bush when hes about to stack the supreme court to overrule roe v wade? How can anyone support bushes stance on stem cell research which could cure paralysis, diabetes, cancer, heart disease? How can someone with such a "christian belief on life" believe in capital punishment for not only minors and the retarded but for people who could be innocent? How can we elect a president presiding over the worst economy of our generation? How can 48 percent approve of him, yet 51 percent vote for him? How can we accept high unemployment, high poverty, rich tax cuts, high oil prices and say 'four more years?' How can we support a man who has sent over 1000 men and women to die for a war based on a lie? I bet itll be a lot more hard to stomach when its a tonawanda grad coming home in a body bag. How can we vote for someone in favor of destroying the environment? Of keeping assault weapons on the street? Of violating our civil liberties? (For the record, if i sent all this in an email, the FBI has grounds to start keeping tabs on me, even tapping my phone without me knowing). How can we vote for someone who kept osama out there and not saddam who did nothing to the americans....oh wait, its great we got em, now we have video tapes of civillians being beheaded on al-jazeera to keep us busy. Nevermind that itll be hard for our generation to find a fair job outta college, nevermind that our parents may have to work through their 60's and may not receive full social security benefits, hey at least Bush is "just a normal guy," because intelligence isnt a good thing to have when youre leader of the free world. Do you understand our vice president voted AGAINST the clean water act in congress!?!?! He voted against releaseing Nelson Mandela from prison!?!?! Europe hated us before, they really gotta hate us now, im ashamed to be an american and wanna move to galway and distance myself from this fuck of a president that was elected on the coattails of gun owning racists and people who praise his moral values...
Just curious, but my mother and grandparents taught me my values, not george bush or bill clinton. Isnt that where values are taught, the family and friends? Doesnt the president run the country? THIS PRESIDENT SUCKS AT THAT!!!!!!
