Well, having finally seen the TV Land award show (which was a nice little piece of fluff), I have come to the conclusion that several actors who appeared in classic television shows are not long for this world. Therefore, here's my ranking of who's the next likely to pass on....
1) James Doohan. My heart broke watching him teeter up the stairs and only managing to say "thank you".... Poor Jimmy! I've always liked him (not necessarily his character, but him as a person).
2) Rose Marie. Geez louise, she wasn't a young lady 43 years ago on The Dick Van Dyke Show! I've put her on the list just because she must be around 90!
3) Bea Arthur. She did not look at all like herself-- she seemed way too thin, way too diminished. The only thing recognizable about her these days is her voice.
Other comments:
1) Man, Shirley Jones' voice is really shot!
2) David Cassidy really looks like his dad. His acceptance speech was really over the top, too.
3) Maureen McCormick, Cheryl Ladd, Mary Tyler Moore, the two Knotts Landing chicks, and Stefanie Powers all look really, really good.
4) Davy Jones must have gone under the knife or something, because he looks like himself again and not some whithered old troll.
5) I'm so glad Dick Van Dyke has gotten rid of that cheesy moustache....
