Summary: Takaki Yuya, a member of Hey!Say!JUMP was told by the the JE president, Johnny Kitagawa to leave his group and work as a solo artist. What will he do? Will he stay with his member or walk away?

“Yay!!” said the members as they brought their drinks together.

They were now in the living room at Nakajima Yuto’s house having a sleepover as well as celebrating their member, Takaki Yuya’s 21st birthday. The oldest member, Yabu Kota was the one came out with the idea. Why Yuto’s house? It was because he owns the biggest house among the members.

When everyone was busy chatting and enjoying the foods, Yuya suddenly stood up and the room became quiet at once. He looked at the members who were also looking at him. “Thank you so much!” he said after taking a long deep breath and bowed.

The members looked at each other then the room suddenly filled with laughter. Yabu stood up and went to Yuya. “Takaki, let’s just enjoy for tonight ne!” he said with a smile as he smacked Yuya’s back lightly.

Yuya nodded at the older and Chinen Yuri suddenly came out from nowhere jumping onto his back. Yuya stumbled and fell onto the floor. The members now laughed harder. “Yuyan, you’re 21 already. Now, grow up and stop acting like a kid!” said Chinen.

“Eh? I can’t…because you always make me want to play with you…” replied Yuya as he pouted.

Yaotome Hikaru laughed, “Well, Takaki is Takaki the way he is”

The other nodded in agreement. “He’s now 21 but I think his mental age is still like 10 years old kid” Inoo Kei added.

Arioka Daiki shook his head, disagreeing with what Inoo just said. “Not 10 but 6 years old kid” he corrected.

“I think its 4 years old kid” said Yuto as he looked at Yuya from head to toes

“Somehow, I think 1 year old is the right one” said Yamada Ryosuke and Morimoto Ryutaro nodded next to him.

Then, Okamoto Keito joined the talk, “A baby that just came out from his mother’s tummy?”

All the members looked at Keito and gave him a thumb up. All of them then turned to Yuya but…he was not there. Not in the room.

In the room upstairs, Nakajima Raiya blinked at Yuya who just came into his room, pouting and sat on the bed. “Takaki-kun what are you doing?” he asked.

Yuya sighed, “They are bullying me…”

The door burst open and there standing the nine members of Hey! Say! JUMP. “So, you’re hiding here, eh?” asked Hikaru with a smirk clearly shown on his face. Yuya blinked as the members slowly approaching him step by step. Suddenly all of them jumped onto him and ‘friendly’ wrestling happened.

Raiya just watched them quietly but then he smiled, “I want lots of friends like big brother has too”

The next morning,

Someone opened the curtain, letting in the sunlight into the room. Yuya opened his eyes slowly and noticed that Yuto’s mother, Mrs. Nakajima was sighing looking at them. Yuya quickly sat up straight. “I’m sorry, Nakajima-san!”

Yuto’s mother smiled, “What are you sorry for? It’s morning already. Wake them up and lets have breakfast together downstairs”

Yuya nodded and Yuto’s mother left the room. Yuya yawned as he looked around. His eyes widened when he realized that the room was…wow, messy. He looked at the still sleeping members. Yabu and Hikaru were on the bed sleeping while hugging each other. On the floor, just next to the bed was Inoo with Chinen’s head on his laps and sleeping beside Chinen was Yamada and Yuto. Keito, Ryutaro and Daiki were sleeping at the middle of the room, forming a circle. He recalled back what happened last night. They were chatting, playing and had fun the whole night. Yuya smiled that he finally realized how lucky he was to have them as members.

Yabu stirred in his sleep and accidentally pushed Hikaru off from the bed, Hikaru fell directly on top of Inoo and Inoo yelped in pain. His leg then accidentally kicked Chinen’s head. Chinen woke up almost immediately and his hand accidentally slapped Yamada’s arm who his head knocked onto Yuto’s head. Both yelled in pain causing the other three woke up at once. Everyone was now awaked except Yabu who was still sleeping soundly on the bed. Everything just happened in an instant and Yuya couldn’t do anything but to blink.

Hikaru who finally recovered from his pain sat up and shouted, “Who did that!?” and Yuya immediately pointed at Yabu who was still in his dreamland. The members looked at Yabu then at Hikaru’s angry face. They gulped their own saliva as they already knew what would happen next. Hikaru stood up and grabbed the baseball bat that was placed near the door in the room. With the baseball bat in his hand, he went straight to Yabu. The other members except Yuya quickly went to grab him before he done anything to their oldest member. Yuya laughed watching what was happening. Once again he whispered to himself, “I’m glad they are my members…”

-Johnny’s Jimushou- 2 hours later -

The members were now in their dressing room, trying out their costumes for the upcoming concert. Yabu sat at the corner of the room, rubbing his head when Hikaru came near him. “Still hurt?” he asked Yabu.

“Of course it is! Why the heck you did that to me?” Yabu pouted and Hikaru laughed.

“Nothing, I just felt like doing that to you” Hikaru answered as he laughed and sat next to Yabu. Yabu pouted even more as he heard Hikaru’s answer. “Yabu, do you think we’ll always stay like this forever?” Hikaru suddenly asked as he looked at the other members who were smiling happily.

Yabu looked at what Hikaru was looking. “We will, as long as the 10 of us are together. No one will lose the smiles” Yabu said and nodded to himself. He then looked at Hikaru and smiled. Hikaru smiled back.

Yuya heard the conversation and smiled to himself.

Johnny-san was in his office room, looking through the folder that he had in his hand. He read everything and nodded. “It’s already three years since they were formed. I guess it is about time for the next plan” he said to himself as he stared at one of his golden boy’s picture. “Takaki Yuya…” he continued.

“Are you planning to tell him now?” asked his secretary, Sayaka Hayami. Johnny-san looked up to her and nodded. “I will make the announcement” said Hayami as she left the room.

Back to JUMP’s dressing room; an announcement was heard through the speaker. The members stopped what they were doing as they focused listening to the announcement made.

“Calling Hey!Say!JUMP’s Takaki Yuya-kun to come to Johnny-san’s office now. I repeat, calling Hey!Say!JUMP’s Takaki Yuya-kun to come to Johnny-san’s office now. Thank you” the announcement said.

“Was she calling you?” asked Inoo who stood next to Yuya.

Yuya nodded, “I think so. Is there any other Takaki Yuya in JUMP other than me?”

Inoo rubbed his chin, “Hmm…no, I think”

“Takaki, you should go by now. I’m sure Johnny-san is waiting for you” said Yabu and Hikaru nodded next to him.

Yuya nodded, “Maa, I’ll go now…” he then left the room and closed the door behind him.

Yuya went straight to Johnny-san office and knocked on the door. “Come in” a voice was heard from inside the room. Yuya twisted the door knob and stepped inside.

“Good morning, Johnny-san” greeted Yuya as he bowed a little. When he looked up, the first thing he saw was Hayami’s smile. She then pointed at the chair in front of Johnny-san desk, signalling Yuya to take a seat. Yuya nodded and slowly walked to the chair. He bowed one more time toward Johnny-san before sitting down.

Johnny-san looked at Hayami and she nodded. She knew what that means and quickly left the room, leaving only Yuya to be alone with the Johnnys Jimushou’s president. “Good morning, Takaki” Johnny-san finally replied Yuya’s greeting just now. “Do you know why I’m calling you here?” he asked.

Yuya nodded but then he quickly shook his head. “I don’t know” he answered. “Did I do something wrong?” Yuya nervously asked.

Johnny-san’s lips formed a smile as he handed Yuya a file. Yuya took it without saying a word. The president then gestured him to look through the file and Yuya did as told.

Meanwhile in JUMP’s dressing room, the members were just finished trying out all the costumes and now they were just chatting and playing around. Ryutaro looked at his watch and spoke, “Why do you think Takaki-kun is called by Johnny-san?”

“Maybe, Johnny-san wants to greet him happy birthday?” Inoo blurted out as he took out a chocolate bar from his bag and had a bite.

Yabu pouted when he heard that. “Johnny-san didn’t greet me happy birthday last time” he said in a disappointed voice.

The door suddenly opened and Yuya stepped in. Chinen ran to him as they saw him. “So, what happened?” Chinen asked him excitedly. The others were also waiting for Yuya’s answer as they were curious.

Yuya looked at Chinen’s face then at the other members. ‘Should I tell them about it?’ he asked himself on his mind. He then curved a smile, “Nothing!”

“Really…? What file are you holding in your hand then?” Hikaru narrowed his eyes towards Yuya and he gulped. He really didn’t want to tell them about it. Yuya quickly went to his bag and stuffed the file inside the bag.

“Guys, I’m going home early today…” he said as he grabbed his bag and rushed to the door. “Bye…!” and he left, leaving the members with question marks floating above their head.

Yuya closed the door and leaned his back on the wall. He sighed when he recalled back what Johnny-san had told him earlier.

~ In Johnny-san’s office ~

“What did Takaki-kun say about it?” Hayami-san asked as she was making a cup of coffee for the president.

Johnny-san looked up to her but before he was able to say anything, the door suddenly opens and Yuya was there. Johnny-san smiled, “Looks like you have made your decision”

Yuya came into the room and approached Johnny-san. He bit his lower lip and bowed, “I’m sorry! But, I can’t accept it! I…I don’t want to leave JUMP. I want to stay with my current members”

“Looks like you still don’t know me that well, Takaki” said Johnny-san in a cold voice. Yuya looked up to him. “When I already made a decision, I will never going to change it. So, when I said, you’re out of JUMP, that means…you are out of JUMP”

“But…”

“No more talking back” Johnny-san cut Yuya’s sentence. “I will announce it the day after tomorrow in the yearly Johnny’s big meeting” he continued.

Hayami-san put the coffee on Johnny-san’s desk and Johnny-san took a sip of it. She then turned to Yuya and smiled, “Takaki-kun, just accept everything that Johnny-san had arranged for you. That’s the best for your career”

“I still don’t want to leave my members!” Yuya said stubbornly. He then took out the file from his bag and slammed it onto Johnny-san’s desk. He bowed towards Hayami-san and left the room.

That night, Yuya couldn’t sleep at all. He kept thinking what Johnny-san said earlier.

-When I already made a decision, I will never going to change it-

He sighed as he sat up and pulled his hair in frustration.

~ The next morning ~

Yuya walked along the corridor, heading to Hey! Say! JUMP’s room when he bumped onto Hayami-san. “H-Hayami-san…good morning…” he greeted.

Hayami-san greeted back with a smile, “Good morning. I’m on my way to JUMP’s room actually”

“Eh?”

“Johnny-san asked me to inform the members about you gonna leave the group soon” she explained.

Yuya’s eyes widened, “NO, you can’t! I’m NOT going to the leave the group!”

Hayami-san sighed, “I’m sorry, Takaki-kun. You have no choice. Johnny-san had decided to make you a solo artist, so you---”

Before she could finish her sentence, Yabu showed up from nowhere. “Hei, Takaki!” he called. “Ah, Hayami-san, good morning” greeted Yabu as he saw her standing next to Yuya.

“You appeared just in time, Yabu-kun. I got a message from Johnny-san to tell you” told Hayami-san.

Yuya gulped his saliva and quickly he pulled Hayami-san away from Yabu. “Don’t tell him” he whispered so that Yabu couldn’t hear.

“Takaki-kun, they need to know about it…”

Yuya sighed, “I will…”

Hayami-san looked at him confusedly, “Will what?”

“Will tell them myself…” Yuya said, looking down.

Yabu approached them. “What happen?” he asked and received a smile from Hayami-san.

“Takaki-kun will explain everything” she said to Yabu. She then turned to Yuya and patted his shoulder. “Takaki-kun, I’m counting on you”

Yabu and Yuya watched as Hayami-san left. When she was no longer could be seen, Yabu turned to Yuya. “What was that all about?”

Yuya bit his lower lip and forced himself to smile. “Let’s talk later” he said as he walked ahead. Yabu just stood still, staring at Yuya’s back. He knew something was wrong with him.

When both Yuya and Yabu entered the Hey! Say! JUMP’s room, Yamada and Ryutaro were a having a little fight and everyone else were trying to calm them down.

“Again…? Geez…” complained Yabu as he walked to them. Yuya just watched everything silently.

‘Leaving this group? Leaving all these people? I don’t want…I really don’t want…’ Yuya said on his mind. He then went to the nearest chair and sat down. His face was pale and his got a big bag under his eyes, he didn’t sleep at all last night.

Inoo looked at him, “What happened to Takaki?”

Everyone turned to Inoo then to Takaki, even Yamada and Ryutaro stopped fighting. Daiki approached him and put his hand on Yuya’s shoulder, “What’s up with you?”

Slowly, Yuya looked up to the person in front of him. Daiki with his baby face was smiling at him. Yuya then turned to the others; they were all smiling at him too. He looked down to his laps. “I’m sorry…” he said in a small voice. The other members just blinked when they heard that. “I’m sorry…” he repeated.

“What are you talking about? Why say sorry?” Hikaru sat next to him. “If you’re not feeling well, you can just leave and rest” he added with a smile.

Yuya heard Hikaru’s words but didn’t know why he could only catch the words ‘You can just leave’ He curled his fingers into a fist. His eyes were now heavy with tears but he must not let the members see his tears so he quickly stood up with his head still looking down. He didn’t dare to look at the members at all.

“I’ll leave now…” he said as he walked to the door and left the room.

The members were still staring at the door. Each of them got the worried look on their face.

That night, Yuya ignored all the phone calls from the members. He just sat on the veranda of his room and stared at the night sky. His room was filled with Hey! Say! JUMP’s first single ‘Ultra Music Power’ and it was in full volume so Yuya could hear it even of he was outside the room.

“J.U.M.P” mouthed Yuya. Tears started streaming down on his cheeks. He could no longer hold those tears.

~!~!~!~!~ The day of the announcement ~!~!~!~!~

In Hey! Say! JUMP’s room,

“Guys, come on! We need to get going now. We don’t want to be late to the big meeting, right?” Hikaru shouted as he whacked every members on the head but when he was about to whack Yabu, he stopped. “You already got one last time, so I won’t whack you this time” he said, smirking. Yabu looked at him with the ‘WHATEVER’ looks.

Yuto rubbed his head as he said, “Takaki-kun isn’t here yet… Should we wait for him then?”

“Maybe, he’s not coming today. I’ll just send him a text, so now let’s get going” Yabu instructed and everyone nodded.

They all went to the hall where the meeting was going to be held. When they arrived there, all the Johnnys were already there sitting on their own place. Hey! Say! JUMP’s seat was next to KAT-TUN’s. Before they sit, Inoo counted the chairs and rubbed the back of his neck. “This is weird, why only 9 chairs?” he said the other members who already took a seat.

“Maybe they forgot…they will take a chair later, so just sit, Inoo-chan” said Yamada who was sitting next to Yuto who was enjoying himself talking to Kamenashi. Inoo pouted and sat on his seat which was next to Yabu.

After about 10 minutes waiting, the hall suddenly became quiet when Johnny-san entered. All eyes were now on him as he walked to the front and held the microphone. “Good morning, Johnnys” he greeted. “I have some important announcements to announce today and it might bring a big change to some of you” he continued. His eyes were focused on the Hey! Say! JUMP’s members when he let out those words and Yabu noticed that.

Hayami-san came nearing him and handed him a file. Johnny-san opened the file and looked through it. He then closed it and gave it back to Hayami-san. “Fine, now the first one, this 3rd of June, we gonna have another sport day”

The boys cheered as they heard that. Yeah, Johnnys sport day was the event that everyone always waiting for.

“J-Red VS J-White…you know your team already and for this year, a new group is joining the event. I’m sure all of you know it already. Yes, it’s Kis-My-Ft2. They will released their debut CD this May”

Everyone clapped their hands as Kisumai’s members came onto the stage and bowed. “Continue to do your best in this entertainment world” said Johnny-san to them and they once again bowed.

Meanwhile, behind the stage…Yuya was waiting to be call. He was staring at the text message he just received from Yabu. The feeling of guilty came to him again. He didn’t want to do this, but it was too late already. In no time, he would be call to the stage and when that happen, there was no more turning back.

“Takaki-kun, it’s time”

Finally…the thing that he scared the most had come. Reluctantly, he went on stage and stood next to Johnny-san.

“Takaki-kun?” said Chinen when he saw Yuya standing on the stage. The others too couldn’t hide their surprise seeing Yuya there.

“One last announcement is…this guy over here, Takaki Yuya…” Johnny-san started as he put his hand on Yuya’s shoulder. “Has decided to leave his group and become a solo artist” he continued.

All the boys in the hall gasped as they heard the statement that just made by Johnny-san. Hey! Say! JUMP’s members looked at him with wide eyes. Yuya knew that his members were looking at him right now, but he didn’t have the courage to look at them.

~! ~! ~! ~ After the meeting~! ~!~!~

Yuya followed the Hey! Say! JUMP’s members back to their room. None of them was saying anything in their way to the room. Once they entered the room, Yuya decided to talk, “Guys…I---”

Before he was able to finish his sentence, Hikaru suddenly punched him on the face and he fell to the floor. “Don’t you dare to talk to us!” Hikaru shouted as he grabbed the collar of Yuya’s shirt.

The other members were shocked by Hikaru’s sudden action. “Leaving the group!? Solo artist!? Do you really hate being with us that much!?” again Hikaru shouted on Yuya’s face.

“I’m sorry…” Yuya apologized without even looking at Hikaru. When Hikaru was about to punch Yuya for the second time, Yabu stopped him by grabbing on his arm.

“Hikaru, we should settle this calmly and not by violence”

Hikaru then let go of Yuya and glared at him. “I want you to go now…” he said in a cold voice. Yuya looked up to him. “Don’t show me your face ever again” Hikaru added. He then grabbed his bag and left the room by slamming the door.

As Hikaru left, Yabu held out his hand to Yuya to help him standing up. Yuya stared at the hand for awhile but then he grabbed it and stood up. “Yabu-kun, I…” Yuya tried to talk.

“We don’t want to hear anything for now…” said Yabu as he turned away from Yuya. Yuya looked at the other members but they all turned away from him as they realized that he was looking at them. “Please leave…” said Yabu again.

Yuya opened his mouth to say something but he closed it again. He looked down to the floor, “I’m sorry…”

After two days, 1st April 2011,

Yuya was sitting alone in his dressing room. The room was big but he was all alone. There was no laughter filling the room, no sound of Chinen talking non-stop, no sound of Hikaru joking around, no sound of Yamada and Daiki chatting about games, no sound of Yabu telling everyone about the sport news that he watched last night, no sound of Yuto’s Cajon and Keito’s guitar, no sound of Ryutaro complaining about Inoo stealing his food… Nothing…

Yuya looked around the room, he really wished the Hey! Say! JUMP’s members could be with him right now. He was lonely… Suddenly, his phone rang. He quickly took out his phone and read the text message, expecting it was from Inoo or maybe Yabu who always text him in the morning greeting him good morning. His expression changed when he read the text, it was just an advertisement about some new perfume.

The disappointed Yuya sighed but then he realized something when he looked at the date showed on the screen of his phone. “1st April…? It’s Keito’s birthday…” he said to himself. He then put the phone back to his pocket and left the room.

Keito was on the way to JUMP’s room when he saw Yuya standing alone, leaning his back on the wall in the corridor. Yuya saw him and he approached him with a smile. “Yo!” he greeted and Keito who didn’t know how that react just stayed quiet. Yuya was smiling but he was actually nervous inside. “It’s your birthday, right? Sorry, I didn’t buy you anything…I just want to greet you…Happy 18th birthday, Keito!”

“Thanks…” said Keito, slowly. But, then he quickly stepped away a few steps from Yuya when he spotted Hikaru was walking towards them.

“What do you want?” Hikaru asked coldly as he was now standing next to Keito.

“Hikaru-kun, he was just…” Keito tried to talk but Hikaru cut his words.

“And who told you to talk to him?” he said to Keito. Keito didn’t answer him but looked down to the floor.

Yuya bit his lower lip as he curled his fingers into a fist. He looked up to Hikaru and straight into his eyes. “Hikaru, I know it’s hard to forgive me but please, I’ll do anything…as long as it can make you forgive me” said Yuya.

Hikaru smirked when he heard that. “Oh really…? Since today is 1st April, why don’t you tell me that, you…leaving JUMP is just a prank for April fool?”

Hearing that, Yuya looked down to the floor. He knew he couldn’t do that. It was real, not a prank or whatever, in fact he was now no longer a JUMP’s member.

“You can’t do that, right? So, there’s no way I’m going to forgive you”

Hikaru then walked away from the place, leaving only Keito and Yuya. Keito looked at Yuya. He really wanted to pat his shoulder at that time but, if he does so, Hikaru would scold him. He actually already forgave Yuya because he knew there must be a reason why Yuya did what he did but he couldn’t say it.

“Keito…” Yuya finally looked up to Keito. There was a smile pasted on his face but, that was not the happy smile that he usually shows when he was with the members before. “Tell Ryutaro too…Happy advance 16th birthday” Keito nodded at him. “Thanks, Keito…”

With that, Yuya left with a sad look on his face. Keito sighed as he continued his way to the JUMP’s room. When he entered the room, the first one he saw was Hikaru glaring at him.

“What did you talk about with him, Keito?” he asked, still glaring at him. The other members stopped what they were doing and looked at both Keito and Hikaru.

“Nothing… He was just greeting me happy birthday. That’s all” answered Keito. He then walked to Ryutaro. “And he also asked me to tell you happy advance 16th birthday, Ryutaro”

Ryutaro just stayed quiet as he looked down to the floor. The other members did the same too. They might didn’t show it, but actually they missed having Yuya with them.

Yuya went back to his empty room and sat at the corner of the room. His tears once again came out, rushing down on his cheeks. He never thought this would happen to him. It was just few days ago where they were still laughing and playing together, but now everything has changed.

“Takaki…” someone called his name.

Yuya looked up and found Akanishi Jin was standing at the door. He quickly wiped away his tears and stood up. “Akanishi-san…”

Meanwhile in JUMP’s room, they were suddenly visited by two of their seniors, Kamenashi Kazuya and Tanaka Koki from KAT-TUN.

Koki was bullying Ryutaro, helped by Yuto, Daiki, Inoo and Chinen while Kamenashi was talking to Yabu and Hikaru with Yamada listening to their conversation. Keito was in his own world, maybe he was thinking about Yuya.

“What’s with the sudden visit, Kamenashi-kun?” asked Yabu with a smile.

Kamenashi smiled back, “Nothing, just want to see how you guys are doing right now”

“We are doing fine!!” Hikaru exclaimed happily.

“I see… Good then. Looks like you guys are a bunch of strong kids, maybe stronger than us in KAT-TUN. We’ve experience the same thing before and it took us like two weeks to smile again…”

Hikaru’s smile slowly faded from his face. “Kamenashi-kun…”

Kamenashi cut his words, “It was really a shock for us when we were suddenly told that Akanishi was leaving KAT-TUN…It was really hard for us to accept the fact and forgive him…Because we thought, you guys might have the same feeling so we come here…”

Keito heard that and turned to Kamenashi as he was started to concentrate on what Kamenashi was going to say next.

“I hope you guys already forgiven Takaki-kun, ne? He must have the reason why he did that, same like Akanishi. You guys know Takaki-kun for years already, so I’m sure you know him well, right?” said Kamenashi as he patted Yabu’s shoulder and stood up. “Koki, we are leaving now!” he called Koki.

Koki let go of the youngest Hey! Say! JUMP’s member and ruffled his hair, “Stop growing, Ryutaro! You are the youngest but you look older than Chinen” and the others laughed.

“I know how you feel, Takaki. You should have say ‘no’ to Johnny-san” said Akanishi as he looked around the room.

Yuya sighed, “I already did, but…”

“But he forced you?”

Yuya nodded, “He never listens to what I was trying to say. He said, he still wanted to stick to his decision”

“I seriously don’t understand what that old man is thinking, but maybe it is the best for you, Takaki. They will forgive you soon, I know…because KAT-TUN’s members forgave me too”

Yuya smiled at the fact that his senior cared about him too. He nodded at Akanishi, “Thanks, Akanishi-san…”

“YOSH…! I still have a rehearsal for my upcoming solo concert! See you again, next time!” told Akanishi as he walked to the door and left. “Cheer UP!” he shouted in English from outside the room.

Hikaru rolled on his bed, hugging his pillow. He couldn’t put himself to sleep after what Kamenashi said that day. “Forgive…Takaki?” he asked himself. He then took a glance on his phone that was placed on his desk. He stood up, walked to the desk and grabbed the phone. He then opened the window and jumped out through it to the roof. He laid his back on the roof and started calling someone numbers.

“Moshi-moshi?” someone finally picked up his call.

“Yabu-CHAN…!” he shouted to the phone.

Yabu quickly pulled away the phone from his ear, “Don’t shout, Hikaru! What do you want?”

“I just want to disturb you…” Hikaru smirked as he looked up to the night sky above him. He could hear Yabu’s sigh on the other line and laughed.

“I know you’re thinking about Takaki…” said Yabu all of sudden. Hearing that, Hikaru stopped laughing. “Honestly, I think we should listen to his reasons. Come to think of it, we never listen to him every time he tried to explain it to us…”

“…”

“Hikaru… I know you too want to know the reason, right? Hikaru, answer me!” now it was Yabu who was shouting.

“FINE…! I got it! Let’s just listen to him then!” Hikaru finally answered and immediately he hung up.

Yabu blinked at his phone and slowly his lips curved into a smile. “I know you care about him, Hikaru…you just don’t show it to us…”

The next day, Yuya was now standing in front of JUMP rehearsal’s room. He never thought of coming here but his body took him here. He stared at the door in front of him. He could hear everything that was happening in the room. The members were laughing and joking around as what they always did. Even without Yuya, they could play happily like nothing happen.

Yuya smiled to himself, “I’m glad…they can still smile. Like this, I shouldn’t worry anymore. They are doing fine without me. They don’t need me…” He said that with a smile on his face but his heart was aching.

Yuya turned around and started walking away. When he was about 10 steps away, the door opened and Daiki stepped outside. He saw Yuya left but he didn’t call him. He wanted to but he just couldn’t do it. After throwing the rubbish into the dustbin, he went back into the room. The members were still practicing the new dance steps.

Daiki looked at the members, he felt something was missing since Yuya left and he disliked it. “I hate this…” he suddenly said, making the other members turned to him. “I hate this…”

“Daiki…” Yamada called him and walked nearer to him but Daiki stepped back.

He looked at Yamada. His eyes were heavy with tears. “We were just fine a week ago! Why is this suddenly happening to us!? I really want to go back like before… with the 10 of us…” Daiki finally let out everything that he has been holding since Yuya left. The tears has now left the eyes and streamed down on his cheeks.

Chinen who acted strong until now suddenly burst into tears as he heard that. “Me too…I hate this…I…I miss Takaki-Kun!” he said in between his sobs. Yuto approached him and hugged him, letting Chinen to cry on his chest (<3 <3 <3 <3)

The other members who were watching Chinen and Daiki’s tears were trying hard to hold theirs too.

“Tomorrow…” Hikaru said and everyone looked at him. “We will talk to him tomorrow. Let’s all of us listen to his reasons…tomorrow” he continued. Yabu put his hand on his shoulder and smiled at him. Hikaru smiled back.

So, here came the day that the members were looking forward to, the day where they were going to see their ex-member and listen to his reasons on why he decided to leave the group.

“You text him…!” Yabu pointed at Hikaru.

Hikaru pointed at himself and asked, “Why me!? You are the oldest so you text him!”

“Yes, I’m the oldest but you can’t always depend on me!” shouted Yabu.

“Since when I’m depending on you!?” Hikaru shouted back.

“You are depending on me right now!”

They were now in Hikaru’s house and about 30 minutes had passed since these two started arguing. Keito sighed as he took out his phone and started typing something. The other six members saw it and approached him, ignoring the two.

“Sent…” said Keito just after he pressed the green pad on his phone.

“Ah, Yabu-kun…Hikaru-kun, Keito just text Takaki-kun” told Yamada as he went to get his bag, followed by the others.

Hikaru and Yabu turned to him. “EH…?” they both said in unison.

“Yosh, we should get going now. We don’t want Takaki to wait, right?” Inoo said as he headed to the door.

“Ittekimasu…” both Yuto and Chinen said as they dragged Ryutaro with them.

Yuya was sitting alone in a café, enjoying his breakfast alone when he suddenly felt like checking his phone. He put his inside this pocket but...the phone was not there. He then checked his bag, but it was not there as well. Yuya sighed, “I guess…I left it at home…”

“It’s your birthday today, wanna do a sleepover at my house?” said a boy that was sitting on the table near Yuya to his friend.

Excitedly, the other boy replied, “Why not? It has been a long time since we last do it! Let’s just meet up tonight!”

Yuya smiled. Having a sleepover to celebrate birthday is really a great idea. He thought on his mind. Then, he suddenly recalled back what happened on his birthday last week. It was so much fun, playing, joking around with the JUMP’s members. “If only I know, that was the last time we spent time together, I would’ve stick with them more…and tell them how much I love Hey! Say! JUMP…” he said to himself, finally regretting the fact that he never tells them that he loved them.

Yuya lost his appetite. He called the waiter and paid for his meal. When he was out of the café, he looked at his watch. “There’s still an hour left before the meeting with the producer. Where should I go now? Before, at time like this I always called Hikaru or Yabu to hang out with me…”

He looked up to the sky. He wondered what the JUMP’s members were doing right now. They must be enjoying their self without me right now… He sighed at the thought.

“Meow…”

He turned to the sound and saw a cute little kitten was trying to cross the road. At the same time, a car was coming in a fast speed. Yuya looked at the kitten, then to the car. Without even thinking twice, he immediately ran to the middle of road to get the kitten and…

HONK!!

Hikaru looked at his watch, impatiently, he said, “Keito, you did tell him that we are meeting him at this place, right?” Keito just nodded as the answer. “Then where the heck is he right now?”

“Try calling him…” Yabu instructed Inoo and Inoo did as told.

“No one answering…”

Hikaru clicked his tongue and kicked the stone on the ground. “I’m going home!” told Hikaru as he started walking away but Yabu stopped him.

“We should wait for him a little more” said Yabu to Hikaru.

Angrily, Hikaru showed his watch to Yabu. “We’ve been waiting here for one and half hour already but still he doesn’t show up! And you want us to wait again?”

“I’m going home too…” Ryutaro suddenly spoke. Everyone turned to him. “I think, he doesn’t want to see us, that is why he’s not coming” he added.

The other members just watched when Ryutaro walked away. Yuto sighed, “Takaki-kun really doesn’t want us anymore?”

“It’s look like it…” Yamada answered his question.

“Dismiss, everyone…there’s no point in waiting anymore. He’s not coming” told Hikaru to the members.

The next day, all JUMP’s members came to the Jimushou as usual, greeting everyone happily with smile on each of their face, pretending like nothing happened on the day before.

“Ohayou!!” greeted Chinen as he entered the room. Everyone smiled at him and greeted him back.

“Chi-nyan…! How are you?” asked Yuto as he hugged Chinen (Hehe, peace! ^__^V)

Chinen smiled at him, “I’m doing fine. Ah, by the way, guys…I saw the juniors gathered at the notice board when I was on my way here. I wonder what the staff had just pasted on the board that attracted their attention”

“Oh really…? Should we go and see then?” Yamada appeared at the door. “Morning, guys…” he greeted everyone.

“Morning, Yama-chan…!” Yabu greeted back. “Why don’t you accompany Chinen to look at the board?”

Yamada put his bag on the table, “Sure…let’s go, Chi?” Chinen nodded and they both left the room.

“Yuto, where did you put my music sheet?” asked Keito with his guitar in his hand. Yuto quickly rushed to his bag to get the music sheet for Keito.

Ryutaro was playing a game in his laptop and Inoo was trying his best to make him lose the game. “Inoo-kun, don’t disturb me! Hikaru-kun… help me to shoo this guy away” Ryutaro complained.

Hikaru who was busy posing in front of the mirror replied, “Sorry, I’m busy right now”

Yabu who was watching everything smiled. He was glad that the members were strong. Even after what had happened, they still tried their best to smile and think positive. He looked around but couldn’t see Daiki anywhere. He sighed, “I guess, he’s late again?”

Suddenly, the door burst open and there, standing Yamada and Chinen. They were breathing heavily. It looked like they ran their way to the room. “What’s wrong with you guys? What is on the notice board?” Hikaru asked, still posing himself in front of the mirror.

“Takaki-kun…” Chinen said slowly.

Hearing that, Hikaru turned to him. “I told you not to mention---”

But, Yamada cut his sentence, “He’s in the hospital right now!”

All the members gasped just they heard that. Hikaru’s eyes widened. “W-why?” his voice was shaking.

“He got an accident yesterday…” Daiki who just came into the room answered the question for Chinen and Yamada. “Sorry, I’m late…I already checked which hospital he’s in and what room” he added.

Keito put his guitar away and looked at the members who didn’t do anything. “Aren’t we should go now? Takaki-kun is in the hospital! We should go now!”

After about 5 seconds silence, Hikaru suddenly rushed out of the room. The others looked at each other and they all too ran to catch up with Hikaru.

~! ~! ~! ~! ~ Hospital ~! ~! ~! ~! ~

Mrs. Takaki stared at his unconscious boy’s face. He still hadn’t gains his conscious since he was brought to the hospital yesterday. Mrs. Takaki sighed, and then she remembered something. She quickly opened her bag and took out Yuya’s phone. She found the phone on his desk in his room this morning and there was one unread message. She thought Yuya might want to read it when he awake later so she brought it with her. She placed the phone on the table near the bed.

“Takaki…!” the door suddenly burst open.

Yuya’s mother turned to the voice, “Hikaru-kun…”

Yes, it was Hikaru and the behind him was the JUMP’s members. Chinen quickly came in and went beside Yuya’s bed. “Takaki-kun…” he called his name. The others did the same.

“How’s he, Mrs. Takaki?” Yabu asked.

“He still hasn’t wake up since yesterday…” answered Mrs. Takaki sadly.

Hikaru walked nearer to the bed and looked at Yuya’s face. He got bruises on his face and his head was bandaged. “Why is this happening?” he asked. He could feel that his tears were now waiting to fall at the edge of his eyes.

“I’ll let you alone with him for now…” said Mrs. Takaki and she left the room, leaving the 9 members of JUMP and Yuya.

“Takaki-kun…” Chinen once again called his name. His hands were gripping Yuya’s hand tightly.

Yuto came forward and held Yuya’s other hand, “Takaki-kun…”

Keito spotted Yuya’s phone on the table and picked it up. He looked at the screen and noticed that there was one unread message. He opened the message and read it. “This is text that sent to him yesterday. He didn’t read it…”

Inoo turned to him, “So that means, he didn’t know that we were waiting for him…” Keito nodded.

“So maybe, if he read the text, he would come, right?” Ryutaro spoke but his eyes never leave Yuya.

Suddenly,

Chinen who was holding Yuya’s hand felt that Yuya just moved his fingers. “Takaki-kun…! Takaki-kun…!” he called.

All of them came nearer and looked at Yuya with a hope that he would wake up. As if he heard that Chinen was calling him, Yuya slowly opened his eyes.

It was blurry at first, but then he started to see everything clearly and realized that he was surrounded by the JUMP’s members. “G-guys…?” he said weakly.

“Takaki-kun, thank God! You’re awaked!” Yamada said happily.

The others sighed in relieved. Yuya immediately tried to sit up but Hikaru stopped him by grabbing on his shoulder. “Just stay still, Takaki…You’re not well enough to move” he told Yuya.

Yuya looked up to him, “Hikaru…”

“We should call the doctor!” Daiki said and everyone nodded. Daiki quickly went out from the room to call for the doctor and Mrs. Takaki.

“Do you still remember us?”

“How are you feeling right now?”

“Still hurt?”

“How did this happen actually?”

“I heard that you were trying to save a cat. Is that true?”

“Want to eat something?”

Yuya was shot by the members with lots of questions. Seeing the members around him, Yuya was so happy but he was afraid that it might be just dream but then, when he tried to move, his body hurt. He groaned in pain, “It’s hurt…”

“Geez, I already told you not to move!” Hikaru whacked Yuya on the head and again he groaned in pain.

Hikaru then received a whack from Yabu, “STUPID, don’t hit a sick person!”

Because of the whack, Yuya finally realized that it wasn’t a dream at all. His tears now started to fall as he looked down. “I’m sorry…I really am sorry…” he apologized. “Don’t hate me…I’m so sorry…I’m sorry…” he kept on saying it.

“Stop it…we know. We already know that you’re sorry and we forgave you…” Hikaru finally said. Yuya looked up to him. His tears were still kept on flowing. “Stop crying, you’re not a kid…”

“You guys really did forgive me already?”

“Yeah, and we never hate you…” Yabu answered the question.

Yuya looked from one member to another member. They were all smiling at him. Now, he started to cry again. Hikaru sighed, “Stop it! You’re 21 years old already! And why the heck is Daiki taking time so long to get the mother when the baby over here is crying!?”

The members laughed by that.

“How are you feeling now?” asked Johnny-san to the boy who was standing in front of his desk.

“Better than yesterday” Yuya answered.

Johnny-san nodded, “I see…”

“Johnny-san, Arigatou!!” Yuya thanked him as he bowed. “For letting me to join JUMP back!” he added.

“I’ve no choice. When you were still in the hospital, everyday they came to see me, begging me to return you to them. When I refused to, they even threaten me that they are going to quit Johnnys” he then stopped talking and laughed. Yuya just blinked at him. “What a group of interesting boys Hey! Say! JUMP is…and I believed JUMP is the only place you belong to” he finally ended his sentence with those words.

Hearing that, Yuya smiled. “That is what I believed too”

With a happy feeling, he went to JUMP’s room. “Good morning, everyone!!” he greeted cheerfully as he entered the room.

“Ah, morning, Takaki-kun…!” Yamada and Chinen greeted him back.

“Oi, Takaki! Did you bring the book that I left in your house last time?” asked Yabu who was busy watching Ryutaro and Hikaru playing a video game in the room.

Yuya slapped his own forehead, “I forgot!”

“Ehhhhh? I thought I reminded you about it already last night!” complained Yabu but his eyes still focused on the game.

“I lost! Guys, I lost the game!” told Hikaru to everyone while Ryutaro was jumping happily because he won the game.

Daiki looked at Hikaru weirdly, “And why you tell us that, Hikaru-kun?”

“Because I lost the game!” again Hikaru said.

“So what if you lost the game?” Inoo asked and Hikaru glared at him. Next to Inoo was Keito who was practicing his guitar as always and Yuto was listening to it.

The room was noisy as always but,

‘I love it’ stated Yuya on his mind. He then approached Hikaru and Yabu who were fighting over the game controller and joined them.
