My statements are not based upon a fight against misogyny or upon any disparity toward the male gender.
The physical arguments are based upon filters I have about intercourse that happen to be at odds with the norm. My filters include an assumption of consensual interactions. I contend that sex is violence, but that violence in this context does not have a negative connotation.
Violence within intercourse is raw and as real as one can become. It is animalistic. It is letting go of all of the material values of the naked ape. It is euphoric and it is satisfying. When it is done properly it is as honest as we are capable. There is no pretense in the face of ecstasy. It comes down to an untamed force.
Perhaps some can find these things in caring and nurturing lovemaking. However, when one embraces the raw force possible in the act...to maintain a soft caring lovemaking in light of a need for the harsh is to wear a unnecessary mask.
Sexual intercourse is violence for the benefit of women and men...not against anyone in particular.
Hmm. Are you saying sex is a violent act but there is no victim or attacker? I guess I don’t comprehend your meaning. The word violence rubs me the wrong way. But I still think that generalizing as sex being a violent act doesn’t make sense to me. It CAN be violent but not inherently. Oh well I guess we disagree on that. Thanks for the mentally stimulating post!
