This oneshot is another that goes along with my 5 part miracle Challenge series. If you haven't read the series, I recommend that you do. It revolves around, as you can see from the warning, noncon. It's been a while since I'd written anything for this, and I plan on creating a timeline when I get a couple more written, but this one takes place shortly after Part 4-Rejection. I hope you like it.
The screams of his dongsaeng woke Kangin from his impromptu nap. Jumping to his feet, he ran out of the living room and into Eunhyuk and Donghae's shared room. As he entered, his heart broke to see Eunhyuk curled up, body shaking from fear as well as the force of his sobs. Walking over to the bed, he sat down next to Eunhyuk, slowly enough to announce his presence, but leaving enough distance so as to reassure the younger, not sure if he would be able to handle any contact.
It had only been a couple of days since their talk. To everyone, it seemed as though he was getting better, but there were still days such as this, where the dancer would wake up screaming, terrified of the enemy still haunting him, even in his dreams.
"Hey," Kangin said softly, frowning when Eunhyuk shifted away from him. "It's just me, Hyukkie. No one else is here, okay?"
It was hard to believe, but besides Donghae and Junsu, Kangin was the best at talking the younger man down after a nightmare. Leeteuk believed that it had something to do with Kangin's protective nature, and he was inclined to agree. After a few moments of soothing words, Eunhyuk leaned closer, resting his head on the older man's shoulder.
"Make it stop, Hyung," he choked out, voice barely above a whisper. "Please, just make it stop."
--------------------------------------------------------------------
"There has to be something we can do," Kangin stated, worried, as the group gathered in the living room, away from where Eunhyuk was sleeping. "I mean, we can't keep drugging him to make him sleep."
"Where's Donghae?" Leeteuk asked. "He should be here."
"He's in with Hyuk," Shindong replied. "He doesn't wanna leave him alone."
"So does anyone have any ideas?" Heechul questioned. They were all just as worried about the dancer as Kangin, so when the man called them and told them to return to the dorm, they all rushed back. At Kangin's explanation of the nightmare, and the fact that he had to once again slip a sleeping pill into his drink, they gathered, desperate for a way to help their troubled friend.
Ryeowook was the first to speak up. "How can we help him? I mean, we can never understand what he's going through...what he went through."
Kangin sighed in frustration. He hated feeling so helpless, but that's exactly what was running through his mind: helplessness, and the need to do...something.
Sungmin all but sighed. "I wish I could just hug him. That always makes me feel better."
"I know, but-" He stopped suddenly.
Hankyung looked at his dongsaeng. "You have an idea, don't you?"
"Yeah, and it might just work."

It was late afternoon when Eunhyuk finally stirred from his drug-induced slumber. He was drowsy and he ached, but he didn't dream, which was more important. A light knock drew his attention to the other bed where he saw his boyfriend laying, soft smile on his face.
"Hey," he said softly, chuckling as Eunhyuk yawned and rubbed his eyes cutely.
"Hey, yourself," he muttered, voice still thick with sleep. "What's up?"
"Are you feeling any better?"
"A bit, yeah. No nightmares," he explained.
"That's good, because we have something for you," Donghae said, standing and walking to the door.
"For me? What is it?" Eunhyuk asked, sitting up.
"You'll see."
He didn't have to wait long, because Donghae returned a moment later, followed by the others, all with their hands behind their backs and secretive smiles on their faces. Chuckling at his boyfriend's lost expression, Donghae sat beside him on the bed and pulled his hands out, revealing a bright yellow fish.
"It was Kangin's idea. Since you're not ready to hug us yet, you can hug these instead," Donghae explained, placing the stuffed fish in Eunhyuk's arms, watching as he slowly hugged it to his chest with a small smile. "There's more," he added, also placing a chocolate colored monkey in his lap, making him laugh.
Then the others stepped forward with their gifts.
A gray and black raccoon from Kangin.
"Hey, you two could be twins!" Heechul cackled.
A grayish cat with a rhinestone collar from Heechul.
"Jesus, you might as well have just given him Heebum..." Yesung muttered.
"Blasphemy!" the redhead shrieked, appalled at the thought. "Siwon! I demand that you smite him!"
A black stallion from Siwon.
"Feel free to stop rubbing in your perfection any time," Hankyung joked.
A multi-shade green turtle from Yesung.
"Wow, that turtle looks more fail-y than even you!" Heechul laughed.
A pink bunny from Sungmin.
"Aw, do we really need any more pink in the dorms?" Donghae whined.
A white tiger from Hankyung.
"You're about as vicious as I am," Shindong stated.
A brown corduroy teddy bear from Shindong.
"So far, this is the only one that fits," Kyuhyun joked.
A black and white patched puppy from Kyuhyun.
"Sit! Stay! Roll over! Good doggy," Ryeowook joked, only to narrowly avoid getting bitten by Kyuhyun.
A gray koala with patterned bowtie from Ryeowook.
"A clinging bundle of cuteness with a vicious side...I can see it," Kyuhyun said, only to nearly get bitten back.
A dark brown and tanned hedgehog from Kibum.
"I knew that inside you were just a big softy," Sungmin taunted playfully. He was ignored.
Finally, a white lion with a powder blue mane from Leeteuk.
"It fits," they all said, watching their Umma beam.
The group watched as Eunhyuk looked from the large pile of stuffed animals at the foot of his bed to his family surrounding it, tears streaking his flushed cheeks as he continued to clutch the fish. He did, however, reach out and grab the raccoon as well, holding it just as tightly.
Shifting, he rested his head on Donghae's shoulder and closed his eyes. "Thanks, you guys. I think I'd be lost without you," he whispered.
"Well, of course you would," Heechul announced matter of factly. "I mean, who wouldn't be lost without my brilliance leading the way?"
Kangin sighed and clipped him on the back of the head, drawing out a pained yelp. "Tone down the Heechul-ness, would ya?"
Leeteuk slowly herded the others out of the room, leaving only Eunhyuk, Kangin, and Donghae. The elder walked over and sat on the other side of the singer, ruffling his hair affectionately. "Feeling better?"
"Yeah. This helps. Thanks so much, Hyung."
"Well, it was actually something Sungmin said, so I can't take all the credit."
"Aw," Donghae teased. "Is Big Bad Kangin Appa shy?"
"I will kill you, brat."
They continued talking and joking until they realized that Eunhyuk had again fallen asleep, though this time was different.
It was the first time he'd been able to fall asleep this close to people since before the attack.
Donghae and Kangin smiled, glad that their Hyukjae was returning to them, slowly, but surely.
