Sorry for taking so long with this. I have absolutely no plot, so I'm pretty much writing what I can when I get an idea. I hope you like it.

Junsu crouched down, allowing his best friend onto his back. When everyone was situated, they walked out the door.

----------------------------------------------------------

The sun had just gone down, along with the normally average temperature when the small group decided to stop for the night. Yoochun had, thanks to his always quick thinking, brought an extra bag, with blankets and other essentials their group would need if they needed to camp out, like they did tonight. The guard expertly set up camp as Junsu and Ryeowook gathered wood and water.

"So Hyukjae, how does it feel to be out in the middle of nowhere?" he asked his only companion. Upon getting no reply, he looked over and chuckled quietly. Hyukjae was simply sitting there, unseeing eyes moving from one thing to another as his other senses took it all in. The utter fascination on his face made the odd quest they were on almost entirely worth it. Yoochun watched as the younger boy gently laid down, running his hands through the grass that was still slightly damp from the previous night's rain and letting the soft breeze caress his pale skin while ruffling his shaggy hair.

Unable to stop himself from asking, the guard sat next to the boy. "Were you really in that room for as long as they say?"

"Fifteen years, I think," he answered.

"I'm sorry," he said for lack of anything to say.

Hyukjae sat up and tilted his head, looking in Yoochun's direction. "Why are you sorry? You didn't lock me in there. In fact, I should thank you for letting me out. If it wasn't for you, I'd still be there right now." He smiled brightly before suddenly asking, "What color is grass?"

Caught off guard, Yoochun stuttered, "Um, green."

"And the sky?"

"Blue. Is there a reason why you're asking?"

"No, not really. I was just curious."

"You said you didn't know colors, right?"

"Yeah. I don't have any memory of them. Well, I see them in visions, but don't know what's what. I was just wondering, is all."

Suddenly, Hyukjae turned his head to the left. Looking over and seeing nothing, Yoochun continued to watch until Reowook appeared with water. Putting the jug down, he ran back into the woods, only to return with some firewood.

"Um, Junsu said he'd be right back," the doctor explained, dropping down next to Hyukjae, who had returned to playing with the grass when he realized who it was. To the boy, he said, "You should take your shoes and socks off! Wet grass feels so funny against bare feet!" he exclaimed, motioning to Yoochun where Junsu was. Nodding, he got to his feet and walked into the woods, Hyukjae's surprised laughter echoing behind him.

The guard found him sitting on a large boulder, just staring into space. Walking over to him, Yoochun leaned against the giant stone, arms crossed. "What's wrong, Junsu?"

The boy was quiet until he whispered. "I hate him."

His brow creased in confusion. "Him? Who?"

"My father. I hate him so much for what he did to him. He was only a child. How could that man do that to him?!" he asked, voice rising in volume as tears gathered in his eyes. "It's just not fair..."

"No, it isn't," Yoochun agreed. "But he's out now. He'll never have to see that room again, and it's all thanks to you." He chuckled as he reached up to wipe away the tears. "You should see him right now. He's so fascinated by everything. It's absolutely adorable. He's doing things that you can totally make fun of him for later." His smile grew at the sound of Junsu's laughter.

"Really? Like what?"

"He is utterly transfixed by grass. I think Wookie has him walking around barefoot in it right now." Pushing away from the stone, he held a hand out to the younger boy. "Wanna go see?"

Junsu nodded, smiling as he took the outstretched hand. "Yeah."

With that, the two walked back to camp, neither realizing that they had yet to release the other's hand.

----------------------------------------------------------

The early morning sounds pulled Hyukjae from the recurring visions of war and suffering that had been plaguing him as of late. Stretching, he squirmed out from Junsu's hold and stood up, taking in the scent of his surroundings. It appeared to be early even for the wildlife's standards, as there were only the sounds of a few birds in the sky.

It gave the teen time to think about everything.

Everything felt so foreign to him. Simple things like a calm breeze and the blades of grass beneath him were objects of wonder to him. The smells were so unique, as were the sounds, and he had no idea how he felt about it. He had spent many an hour dreaming about his freedom, but now that he had it, he didn't know what to do with it.

Thoughts such as 'Where do I fit in', and 'Do I really belong out here' came unbidden as he sat down on the grass and simply allowed his thoughts to wander.

So lost in his thoughts, Hyukjae never once noticed Ryeowook's worried gaze. Untangling himself from the mess of blankets he had somehow twisted himself into, the young doctor yawned and crawled over to the boy and situated himself beside him.

"Did you sleep well?"

"As well as I could, I suppose," he replied quietly.

"Oh? Did you have a bad dream?"

"I guess you could call it that." They sat in silence when Hyukjae spoke up again. "It's so big."

Confused, Ryeowook asked, "Big? What is?"

"Everything. There are no walls closing in. There's no door keeping me in. It's so open out here, and I don't know whether to love it, or fear it."

The doctor observed the boy for a bit before leaning back on his elbows and looking toward the sky. "I think it's understandable to feel both. You probably felt so confined in that room, but also protected to a degree, am I right?" At the slight nod, he continued. "Those four walls not only kept you in, but they also kept bad things out. You feel open and exposed, and it's a very uncomfortable feeling, but even though those four walls are gone, three new ones have taken their place."

Hyukjae looked at the doctor, head tilted and expression one of confusion. "What does that mean?"

Ryeowook smiled. "It means that Junsu, Yoochun, and I are here instead. Until you feel comfortable, we'll serve as your walls."

"Wow...I'd never thought of it like that before," he mumbled, taking in everything the older man had said.

Giggling, he said, "Yeah, well I've been known to spout a few words of wisdom every once in a while."

"Can you maybe spout a little quieter? Some of us aren't morning people, y'know," Yoochun's gruff voice muttered as he curled up a bit more under his covers.

"Some guard you are," Hyukjae stated jokingly.

"My shifts start after the sun is up. Yunho's the psycho who's on at the crack of fucking dawn."

At that, Hyukjae's eyes grew. Turning to Ryeowook, he asked excitedly, "What does sunrise look like?"

"A lot of colors," Junsu answered, yawning and sitting up to rub the sleep from his eyes. "It's really pretty, but I like sunset better."

The boy smiled, hardly able to keep still. "Tell me about it!"

Junsu laughed at his best friend's reactions before indulging him. "A lot of purples and reds and oranges...it's more peaceful to me than sunrise, I guess."

"That's awesome! I'll bet it's gorgeous!"

Smiling, Junsu shifted closer to Hyukjae and ruffled his hair, earning himself a protesting whine in reply. "You're such a kid, Hyuk."

"Says the one who still sleeps with a blankie."

"You're so full of it! I do not!"

"Now who's full of it?" he asked, dangling a small faded red piece of fabric in front of the group.

Junsu's face turned bright red as he snatched it from his friend's hands. "What of it...?" he muttered.

"Nothing! I think it's cute! I mean, I'd probably do the same if I had anything," he shrugged, still smiling. Before anyone could say anything else, Hyukjae stood up. "I need a bath...I feel disgusting. How do I get to water?"

"I'll go with you. I feel the same way," Yoochun stated, getting to his feet. "I mean, if I have to get up, I might as well do my job, right?" The two grabbed clean clothes and walked toward the river, Yoochun watching Hyukjae practically bounce ahead of him. "Yo! Less energy! It's not normal to have so much of it this early!"

Laughing, Ryeowook and Junsu broke camp and got clothes out for themselves when the two returned. They frowned, however, when they saw Yoochun carrying Hyukjae, who was holding his head in pain.

"What happened?" the doctor asked as the two ran up to them.

"If you're gonna clean up, do it now. He said that if we don't get to where we need to be in two days, the guy we're looking for is gonna die."

"Was it a vision?" Junsu asked, picking up his clothes before resting a hand on his friend's shoulder.

"Y-Yeah. I was getting dressed when it hit." He turned toward Junsu and clutched his hand. "He can't die, Su. If he does..."

He didn't need to finish the sentence.

----------------------------------------------------------

The brunette walked into the small inn, another young man close behind. Looking around, he allowed a small smile to grace his handsome face. No one would think to look for him amidst the mass of unruly brutes occupying the room.

"Are you sure this is a good idea? I mean, it's not exactly safe here," the raven haired teen muttered, watching the fight that had just broken out about ten feet away.

"Relax, Bummie. It'll be fine. Besides, it's just for a few days, then we'll be out of here. I can't take another night outside," the brunette replied as he walked over to the innkeeper.

"Can I help you two?" he grunted, turning away from his conversation to stare at the two.

"We need a room for a few nights."

The large man looked them over before reaching under the counter and throwing them a set of keys. "Upstairs. Third on the left."

Nodding, the pair went upstairs, completely unaware of the two sets of eyes following them.
