Finished!!!
It's 4:00 a.m. and I finally finished my JET application! Yatta!!!!! For those that don't know, the JET Program allows fluent English speakers from other countries to teach English in Japan's public schools. So yes, I will be like that nerdy English teacher in My Boss, My Hero. XD If I get hired, that is. As the application is due in Washington DC on Monday at the latest, I will have to overnight it tomorrow (I mean, today! Man, I gotta go to bed) to make sure it gets there on time.
There is high competition for this job, so I'm not so sure I'll even be called for an interview. I know of at least 4 other people applying from my Japanese Literature class alone, all very good students; JET only takes about 30 people total from my state, so... I don't know. But hey, I tried! So glad to be done with it. Now only 3 more English-teaching companies to apply for. *sigh* Ganbarimasu!
