anyone heard of a magazine like this?..

A while back I saw an advertisement for a magazine that was all about news stories of people helping other people and of fortunate events. Basically the opposite of the dominant media. I really regret not subscribing to it, and all my searching doesn't seem to be able to find it again.

could it be Futurific? anonymous August 3 2005, 18:01:15 UTC
I used to describe to a magazine of that description. It's called Futurific, how things are getting better, not worse. Evidently, they don't have a website, lol. The description [pasted below] falls far short of the actual content; it's much friendlier than that. I enjoyed it but it's rather pricey. I have a link too which offers the magazine at a discount.

About Futurific Magazine: For over 20 years, Futurific has been in the business of reporting, analyzing, and predicting upcoming developments in the sciences, technology, industry, economics, entertainment, and politics. Studying current events on a global basis, the magazine has a reputation for accurately predicting where current trends are taking us and how they may offer solutions to today's problems.

And in response to the comment you left on my blog, why wouldn't I? The limitation being whether people go to the bother of contributing.

However your comments template is configured, it's impossible for me to post other than anonymously which I dislike. Comments shouldn't be configured in such a way that people cannot easily respond without setting up an id with yet another service.

My comments template _is_ set up to allow anonymous posting. It is also simply set up to log ip addresses of unknowns and also to screen comments.
It's not you, I've just had a few problems w a few folks that made me take that step.
