Annunciation and Good Friday all in one.
I woke up today and it felt odd. The whole day has been just a little off, and I have been somewhat surly and grumpy off-and-on.
Having the fest of the Annunciation on the same day as Good and Holy Friday is kinda' novel (I guess it only happens every sixteen years). It just makes it hard to get into the right mindset, really (whatever that 'right mindset' is). And even thought we had a double-ish liturgy/service, it was still only three hours. I was predicting longer, and the kids there did really quite well.
When we went up to venerate the shroud, I couldn't get all the way to the ground (I didn't push it, either). So I kind of bowed form my knees. Yup; no doubt my body is a changing -- and faster than I thought. My clothes are getting a little too tight around the waist for comfortable movement, and muscles seem to be under strain/stretch when I do stuff.
