2012 Weekly Weigh-In: Week 1

Weight: 204.2 pounds
Short-term goal: Lose 1 pound a week

After ending the year with some serious setbacks, I'm determined to start over. I spoke to my doctor this week, and she ordered some blood tests to look for any metabolic problems. Hopefully, I'll have results soon.

In the meantime, I'm following her advice to watch portion sizes and not to eat after midnight, as well as increasing activity. While I already attend three exercise classes during the week, I'm going to make an effort to get exercise on the other days, as well.

One of my New Year's resolutions is to lose an average of a pound a week in 2012. That would bring me to slightly below where I was before I got pregnant a little more than two years ago.

It's a realistic and achievable goal, and I'm going to make every effort to stick to it.
