"Part-time"
What bullshit.
If I had known I would be dumped in the middle of a raging dumpster fire I would have declined. Their big event is weeks away, everyone is STILL learning a new platform, event work is not being prioritized, they had me do a brand refresh with the event WEEKS fuckin away.
Everyday I'm working until midnight and will be until the end of October/early November to get marketing collateral out, and I haven't even started with the actual event graphics (lower thirds, overlays, slides and the rest of that bullshit). Weekends are out too. Good thing I didn't take that motion graphics course I wanted to take.
All templates with the exception of slides should have been finalized MONTHS ago, not now.
I can see why they've burned through so many designers. The director of communications/marketing--honestly doesn't know how to effectively manage or plan ahead.
Her failure to say no and prioritize event tasks adversely affects the way I do my job.
My last job was toxic, but at least they knew how to plan an event the right way. I won't quit in the middle of this shitstorm, but I'm not going to stay past November/December.
On the job hunt once again.
UGH
