Dear Freecycle users,
If you are attempting to get free stuff from other people on your local freecycle list, please pay attention to how the whole system works. Stop emailing me 9 hours after I posted that my offered items had moved to pending status. I don't care if this is the first time you're checking your mail today. Good stuff like fucking *furniture* is going to go superfast, so skip ahead and see if there is another message for that offer saying it's now "pending". I don't have time to write to two dozen or more people saying that they are not getting my stuff. I am really fucking busy right now, mm'kay?

Special to the recently divorced guy who is sleeping on an air mattress who wrote describing his dire need for a futon: When the pending message goes up? And you haven't gotten an email from me? And you don't get an email from me? Why would you write to ask if the person it is pending for is you? If it were, you would know.
You know, if getting rid of these futons were the only thing I had happening this week? I would totally write personal notes to all the people who couldn't have them. I would. That is my style. I would feel horrible that I didn't have a dozen sets of futons for people. More than likely I would console divorced guy and everyone else that whatever they are sleeping on now is more comfortable than sleeping on these particular futons, more's the pity. But I can't get into it now. Someone just come and take them off my hands, thank you.
