As the Pats beat the Colts 20-3, or some obscence score; I can't actually believe that I used to be really into all aspects of any sports. I mean, I'm a fan, but I mean like actually paying attention to announcers, analysists, and journalists. It makes no sense to me, how people can be paid outrageous sums of money, just to act intelligent on the air. Heck, I could do that.
Honest to god, this is what Phil Sims said today, or at least mostly, the idea is the same.
"..Rodney Harrison is one of those players that wants to get the opposing team mad."
Oh really, Phil. I THOUGHT THE OBJECT OF THE GAME WAS TO TAKE THE OTHER TEAM OUT TO FREAKING DINNER, AND BUY THEIR KIDS ESCALADES. YOU MORON...OF COURSE HE WANTS THE OTHER TEAM TO BE MAD.
Then there's the on-field sidelines reports. My god, do they really inform me of so much valuable information.
After player Fswazzai gets smashed in the head, with a helmet to helmet hit, after he catches a pass over the middle by linebacker Tank Diesel. (obviously this situation is fictionalized, but a similar one has happened.
"Guys [the booth announcers], it seems like Asshadulad Fswazzai went down with a head injury a few plays ago. Trainers are looking at him now, and it seems like his head really got hit hard on the play.
>cut to replay<
*slow motion replay of Fswazzai getting knocked into the next continent by Diesel*
"Back to you Phil."
Man, that is easy money.
