A Mind Trapped.....

Washu had lost track of how long she had been trapped in this nightmare.

It had all started out innocently enough. She had been summoned to a conference at the Royal Science Academy, presumably to discuss the applications about one of her recent creations. She had been ecstatic...finally, she was going to get recognized for her brilliance and foresight by her peers!

But it was not to be.

Upon her arrival, she had gotten jumped by security and put in handcuffs. When she naturally demanded what was going on, they told her she was being arrested for using her inventions for nefarious purposes. The pink-haired girl remembered shaking her head in disbelief. That was a load of bull and they all knew it! Stubbornly, she insisted on proving her innocence and showing those clods the error of their ways....but in hindsight she should have been thinking of ways to escape.

After being dragged in front of the tribunal, she realized too late that she made a mistake. They had no interest in hearing her out....it was just a glorified show trial so the people behind the scenes could cover themselves. Squriming, she was led into the imprisonment chamber.  There they told her that she was sentenced to an eternity trapped in a prison caspule. Washu had done some preliminary work on the system and knew how horrible it was...it was reserved for the worst criminals. Why were they doing this to her? An up and coming brilliant mind?

She had no time to scream before the crystal formed over her, locking her in position. For the first hour or so, she tried pushing against substance encasing her....but nothing would budge. She could barely see through the translucent crystal, let alone escape. She tried keeping time in her head, but quickly realized that there was no point.  Hours, days, years....it didn't matter. Not even her sharp mind could get her out of this. Washu had a spirited, defiant nature....but even she had to despair in this situation. Maybe it would have been better if they just killed her off....

The world outside the crystal was a still one. There was a slight chill in the air, along with a faint but noticeable mist. A red-light could be seen on the wall, indicating that the crystal was active. Otherwise, there was no other life or people around.
