Random stuff
1. I was hoping that Kerbey Lane would have chocolate chip pancakes today, but they didn't. So I got a short stack of raspberry instead. The NW Kerbey Lane is moving to a new location this weekend, to the northbound side of 183 at Anderson Mill Road. Very convenient to me.
2. Charlie is being a real snuggle kitty. I'll never be able to smooch on her the way I could with Kitsu, but she's still doing the cuddle thing. As is Sam.
3. I met Mario Acevedo at WorldCon at a party. I didn't know it was him until I looked at his badge and told him how much I liked his books. To be fair, I've only read The Nymphos of Rocky Flats, but I really did enjoy that book, and I picked up the second book while in Denver. BTW, Kimm, our box arrived today as did my vase from the Denver Art Museum.
Anyway, I was talking to Mario about paranormal romances and he recommended two writers to me. I found a copy of Richelle Mead's Succubus Blues at Barnes and Noble in Lakeline. It was in General Fiction, the very last place it should have been. I'm going to curl up and give it a go - because it's research for the paranormal romance panel I'm moderating on Saturday at ArmadilloCon.
