Almost there!
So i went into Allards paints in Fyshwick today to see about getting black and blue (colour matched) for the ZZR, and got quite a surprise.. Apparently 2-pak has changed heaps since I last saw it used (~1996?), and you just spray it on like normal paint now! I was expecting to do the old undercoat, sand, undercoat, sand, leave a day, mask up, spray black, sand, spray black, sand, leave a day, mask up, spray blue, sand, spray blue, sand, leave a day, mask up, spray black, sand, spray black, sand, etc trick..
It's not to be.. - apparently now i undercoat, sand, undercoat, sand, make sure it's PERFECT, then spray on black, wait 30 mins, mask up and spray on blue, wait 30 mins, spray on clear, wait 30 mins, spray on clear, leave a few hours, polish... Sounds EASY!!
Hmmmm, mirrors go on tomorrow morning, maybe even get blue slip tomorrow, then rego friday, and then she just wants the painting and she's done :)
