i have finished season 1 of OST. i really like the episode devils in the dark. it shows a glimpse of how deeply kirk and spock care for each other; that, their 'rules' can be broken for the other.
i think the feeling i get when reading k/s is "glee". i like it.
the next OST episode to watch is amok time. i think i shall enjoy it.
i read a hilarious ST story, small packages (by killa), that is hilarious. i lol'd, literally, many times.
last night i went out with mom and alexandria, my step cousin who has been here since tuesday, to dinner at shokudo and then to a poetry slam at pipeline cafe. that morning we went shopping and i got a miss sixty dress for 70% off, about $41. i wore it with boots and a belt, which altogether looked slightly S&M. at the poetry slam we saw this girl who was hitting on alex while we were shopping (apparently she couldn't tell if she was a girl or boy.) i saw the guy who took my order at starbucks in spoken word, which was cool, but took me off guard at the time. he did a poem called mental cock-block, which was very funny.
but i digress. during the poetry slam, i realized that while kirk and spock are meant for each other, they are not perfect for each other. kirk would seduce spock, and spock could quite easily fall in love with kirk (which i will assume he does, since this is a k/s idea after all,) but when he presents kirk with this love, is rejected, for it is not in kirk's nature to accept one person, and belong to them. is it kirks fault for seducing spock? spocks fault for falling for him instead of keeping his distance as would be logical? kirks for not seeing that spock would expect something serious? spocks for expecting something serious? which one is more selfish? i wonder if this relationship is doomed, or if this is a problem they can work through. either way it makes me very sad, because the situation holds a real and mature possibility in the world.

k/s, miss sixty, poetry slam, shokudo, ost, dinner, step cousin, shopping
